Great Staff, but needs updates/ remodel

The front desk staff were very welcoming and professional. The breakfast staff could take notes from the front desk. They were not at all welcoming and seemed irritated when asked questions. Unfortunately, this hotel is in need of updates. The bathroom had stains/splatters of a redddish/brown substance on the walls near the shower and toilet. The curtains could really use a thorough cleaning or just replaced with something new. I enjoy staying at Hilton properties. This property is not at all like most Hilton properties. I've never replied to these surveys with any negative comments. All Hilton properties I've stayed at within the last 2 years have all offered bottled water at the beginning of the stay and a small paper bag with fruit and treats at the end of the stay. Nothing was offered here. If not for the front desk staff, I probably would never stay here again.

Has really gone down since my last stay

I stated this hotel about 7 years ago and since then things have drastically went downhill and changed. It is still a okay hotel however I don't think I would stay here again.

My review is based on the lack of service I received. I booked a one night stay, but was unable to travel and reached out to change the date of the stay. It was impossible to get in touch with anyone who could help. I made multiple phone calls and I was transferred from one person to another, until eventually I was disconnected from the call. Booking was made through Travelocity, and they were also unsuccessful in contacting anyone at the hotel who could help. It is unlikely I will ever book a stay at Hampton Inn, due to this disappointing service.
