I’ve stayed at Red Roof before and always had good experiences, which is why we paid an extra $25 per night to stay here instead of a cheaper hotel that was closer to our family reunion. We booked two rooms for our big family, expecting a comfortable and clean stay.
Unfortunately, cleanliness was a major issue. In one of the rooms, my 3-year-old found a cigarette butt on the floor. Thankfully, we caught it before she started playing with it. Both rooms had mildew in the toilets, and in the room I stayed in, about three roaches crawled onto the bed while I was laying down (as shown in the pictures).
These may not be “huge” problems to some, but cleanliness is extremely important to me, and this stay did not meet expectations. I honestly should’ve gone with the cheaper hotel.
