The photos for this property don’t do it justice, and in a pretty bad way. It looked great in the listing, but the accuracy of the photos ends once you leave the lobby area and head up to the rooms. The hallways and rooms are extremely dated and could use way more than a fresh coat of paint. In our room we saw many minor damages on the walls, trim, and furniture that no one bothered to fix but also add up to a really sloppy experience. The AC return vent was also covered in dust. The walls are very thin — we easily could hear other guests and outside traffic through the night, and generally things didn’t feel particularly clean.
They also charge over $30 a night for valet parking (their only option on site), but there’s a paid lot next door as well as decent street parking options if you’re willing to time it properly (which wasn’t hard for us, coming from a major city with similar rules).
The location is close to one of the many Riverwalk entrances but a few blocks from the main bustle of it so definitely expect to walk to get to any of the “main” parts of the Riverwalk.
The pool was also pretty cloudy but fine to use. Nothing special.
Overall the stay was fine, but I had much higher expectations for what we actually got based on the photos and ratings, so we were surprised to say the least.
