Road trippin

This is a great hotel! The room is very spacious and has a microwave and a fridge. The balcony is awesome with a view of the bay and the ocean. Everyone I encountered on the staff were so friendly and pleasant. You can walk anywhere from this location.

Trip to OB

Arrived before the check-in time and was told we would be called when the room was ready. Never received a call. When we came back after the check-in time, we had to wait for the front desk to confirm the room was ready. Entering the room, we were overwhelmed with the scent of a cleaning solution. The bathroom towels were small, more like hand towels. They were finally replaced on the second day. There are minimal amenities in the rooms. There was dirt and dust hanging from the exhaust fans near the bathroom. The flooring in the room was cracked and separating in numerous places. There was trash on the ground around the property. The only positive was the location near Ocean Beach. If you own a dog, this is the place for you. We would not stay here again.

Welcoming property in a great location near dog park. Good sized parking on site. Park and walk everywhere in OB. Rode our bikes up to Sunset Cliffs. Great breakfast and coffee shop on site. Fenced dog run behind first floor rooms was clean and safe for our dog.

Great place for animal lovers!

My husband and I had an amazing time staying here. We loved the fun dog-loning atmosphere even though we were not traveling with any of our own. I was very surprised at how well behaved and courteous everyone with dogs in the area were.

We had an amazing stay with our son, and two pups! Pet rooms didn’t even smell of a previous pet and the communal dog run was amazing and so well taken care of. Being right at dog beach was a big plus too, and the hotels complimentary dog wash! How cool is that! Only thing I could say out of preference is the shower towels are extremely rough and on the small side. Front office was amazing and checked on us via text and helped with every need , we cannot wait to go back! Thank you

Felt unsafe for the first time at any Expedia property Man screaming in the room below and in the parking lot over and over all night. When other patrons opened doors to confront, he was screaming ‘I know your room number now, you stupid f***.” Police were called. Officers patrolled through and he came back again at 6 am, entered the room below me, and worse than ever. Now punching walls and throwing things while screaming about thieves and bedbugs. Packed to leave earlier, but since police came for a bit and now was terrified to walk past him. Checked out when it was quiet later, mentioned that disturbances to the clerk and he said “well, I wasn’t here” and introduced a parking fee. The ONLY reason this has not been an Official complaint and charge back is because the morning clerk waived that parking. Also: Started out with Lobby locked and empty at 4 pm. For check in. Watched another couple knock and call out at the lobby door as wel- while standing in the rain. Returned later and checked in, and the first clerk said “I was just in the back“, as if we hadn’t knocked loud enough on the locked lobby door. No sleep. Cannot recommend.

The property location is excellent. We enjoyed walking right out onto the beach. Our room was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The only negative thing is that the room is very outdated: rust on the outside furniture, peeling paint everywhere, and the flooring was coming up in places.
