The hotel is quaint. The room was spacious and the bathroom was updated and very nice. My quibble is that the heater in the room did not work at all so I was very cold. The front desk is only manned from 6:00 a.m - 12:00 a.m. and I didn't arrive until 12:30 a.m. so there was no one to address my concerns about the heat (although I'm not sure they could have fixed it that night anyway). When I mentioned the issue to the desk clerk when I checked out, he showed very little concern about it.

Petit Soleil is a wonderful little inn with a highly attentive staff, wonderful cocktail hour, delicious breakfast, and very comfortable, well-appointed rooms. The location is great proximity to many shops and restaurants in downtown SLO.

Amazing experience from start to finish. When I checked in they were hand rolling pie dough, the room was modern and cozy, and while I didn't get to have breakfast, the croissants I grabbed on my way out were amazing!
