We stayed at Watermark San Pedro for over 4 days and had a very poor experience from start to finish. On the first night, our room had a severe mosquito infestation — around 40 mosquitoes upon check-in. This continued throughout our entire stay, day and night. Because of this, we never opened the balcony and were unable to enjoy the beachside/ocean view we specifically booked and paid for. Cleanliness was also a major issue. The floors were dirty when we arrived, and the pillows, sheets, and towels had visible stains and appeared used. We showed this to housekeeping on the first night, but nothing was properly addressed. The shower drain did not work and wasn’t fixed until our third day. Housekeeping also entered our room twice while we were still inside, despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign being on the door and us clearly communicating that we were occupying the room. These issues were reported daily to the front desk, yet there was little to no follow-up or customer service. Overall, the lack of cleanliness, unresolved maintenance issues, privacy concerns, and poor customer service made us feel uncomfortable throughout our stay. This was not the experience advertised and certainly not worth the price paid. I would not recommend this property and would strongly suggest management address these issues before hosting future guests.

Pros: The location is perfect, situated conveniently just over the bridge, a short two-minute ride from the main crowds. The room itself was very nice upon arrival, offering a view of the water. The hotel communicated with us prior to our arrival, inquiring about our stay needs and any required pick-up services. Check-in was efficient, and the rooftop bar is beautiful. As the dates indicate, my stay from December 30th to January 5th occurred during the holiday season. On my arrival night, I enjoyed the rooftop area, dinner, and drinks. The two male Hispanic/Belizean bartenders were exceptionally kind and accommodating to all the guests. During the NYE rooftop party, special drink prices were offered at $14 (equivalent to $7 USD), and the owners provided complimentary shots. The DJ played popular music, and the attendees appeared to have a pleasant experience. From there everything went downhill AThe offered hotel shuttle from the ferry $22 per person one way. The hotel room does not have closet space

I could not say enough good things about this hotel. I would recommend it with no reservations. because our fishing tour canceled on us last minute, the hotel helped me make arrangements home early. They helped me exchange all of my Belize, money into US dollar, so I would not lose out on being able to exchange considering we left on a holiday and the bank was closed. They went above and beyond helping me to do that so I wouldn’t lose hundreds of dollars. Especially Mireisy Rax at the front desk. She was so incredible, the whole staff was incredibly kind and accommodating and helpful. The room itself was beautiful and clean with hot water. I’m a single mom staying with my two boys and it was incredibly safe and well taken care of property.

We stayed in room 404. It had a good view with a spacious amount of room with 2 ppl. We ate on the roof top one night and the food was really good! Beautiful views to enjoy dinner. We had an issue ants so we couldn’t leave anything on the table. There is a window in that bathroom with no curtain and workers were there when I got out the shower. Literally ran to get the room. Why would every other window have a curtain but that one? Not sure if I would stay here again and definitely not on that side!!
