la chambre était une chambre fumeur, c'était épouvantable l'odeur de cigarette qu'elle avait, heureusement ont à réussi à me trouvé une autre chambre, elle était beaucoup mieux pour l'odeur mais il y avait de petits moucherons dans la salle de bain.... à l'extérieur c'était bien mais ce fut difficile de se trouvé une chaise longue. pour ce qui est du buffet, rien d'exceptionnel.... une chance nous y avons passé qu'une seule journée

This is rated as a 4 star and it's barely a 2 star. It's unkept loaded with mold and roaches. The HM Stands for HUGE MISTAKE. READ THE GOOGLE REVIEWS IN THE PAST YEAR. It has over 200 1 and 2 star reviews. The food had bugs all over it. We had to go off property to get food because it was that dirt and bad. Btw it's not all inclusive it's particularly inclusive. STAY AWAY

They had assigned us a room with one king size bed for my 25 year old nephew and I, I obviously requested a change for a room with 2 beds. At 5:30 PM we assigned the very last room in the oldest part of the hotel, next to the street in front of the hotel, every morning we were woken by Roosters just outside our window and the buses and trucks who would reverse into a parking spot or do whatever they were doing with their backup indicators blaring, again between 5:30 and 6:00. Now for the food, it was terrible! Dry, tasteless, and obviously unhealthy, I was sick for 3 days starting on my last evening on the resort. Obviously I was not impressed and my star ratings are generous, if there was a poor + or a good - I would have chosen that rating.

This property did not meet expectations. The photos on the website do not reflect the current condition of the resort. Although my room had the partial sea view as booked and was clean, it was outdated and in need of renovation. The bed was uncomfortable, and basic amenities such as a hair dryer, lotion, shampoo, and shower cap were not provided. The satellite TV was almost entirely in Spanish, with very limited English channels. Privacy was also an issue, as guests from a nearby building could see directly into the bathroom. The food at the buffet was repetitive, bland, and generally unappealing, with the exception of the salad bar and fresh juices. We frequently chose to eat off-property, including in La Romana, where the local seafood was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful, though most spoke little to no English. Entertainment and activities were minimal, and seating around the pools and beach was insufficient for the number of guests. Overall, the resort has potential but requires significant upgrades. Based on my experience, I would not choose to stay here again.

The hotel layout and design is beautiful, with nice sea front, pools and bar areas. The rooms are very modern and comfortable. There is good snorkelling in the sea, we really enjoyed this. On the other hand the food and drink are more average, the buffet quality being poor given the fantastic local fruit and vegetables available. The free drinks are also limited, with poor wine and over sweet cocktails (good local beer). The staff are helpful but not very friendly and the checking in experience is a bit chaotic. It was busy, a bit overcrowded when we were there - we only stayed 2 nights and could not get into the 2 free restaurants, but we did pay to eat in the Japanese restaurant which was very good.

We had a lovely stay at HM Alma Bayahibe. The rooms were clean, the staff was courteous and best of all.. the food was excellent!! The buffet was always full of tasty choices, and we were lucky enough to experience their beautiful Christmas eve dinner which was spectacular!! The pools are filled by the ocean and there is ocean access to swim off the reef. Best of all is the Sushi restaurant. It's hands down the best Sushi restaurant anyone in my party has experienced. Marguerita our server was an absolute delight. I will recommend this stay to everyone I know. Thank you for a perfect vacation!

Overall I had a great experience all of the staff was really nice especially if you tried to speak their language (remember we are in their country). Daniel and Aribella were always smiling and friendly! The room was nice I didn't expect to get a partial ocean view so that was great! I loved how every morning I could wake up and jump into the Caribbean without having to go anywhere (I would trade a beach for this any day). The food choices were plentiful with different options - Buffett, food truck, snack shop and 3 restaurants. There were a few slight snags (air conditioning dripped water) but staff fixed right away, remember you get what you paid for.

No hot food on breakfast, lunch or dinner. Mediocre at best. Staff is rude. Lost water one day in building 5. Construction noise all day everyday during day time. Needed blanket but the desk clerk didn't sent for 45 minutes. I went there personally and they sent after another 20 minutes. I wouldn't book a room at this hotel. It's the worst hotel

Room was clean. Upon arrival the language barrier was a problem. We were given a room right away but luckily security took our bags and escorted us to the room and there was someone already in it. From then on it was over 2 hours before we could get another room and that was only because two gentlemen we travelled with got a room with a king bed but required two beds. We suggested getting the king bedroom ourselves and that worked out. However, we did not get the balcony we paid for, just a simple window. We were done with trying to change rooms however. Other than having no balcony, the room was very nice.
