WALK TO DOWNTOWN PLAZA, RAILYARD, AND CANYON ROAD. HISTORIC ADOBE.

Historic Adobe Home Within Walking Distance To The Plaza, Railyard and Canyon Road.

Thank you for visiting our site. I have named this casita La Casa de mis Sueños (The House Of My Dreams) because it has been a longtime dream of mine to have a home in Santa Fe. That dream has finally come true and, after spending months making this historic home “guest ready”, we have chosen to share this gem with you.
This beautiful home is mine during the winter months. I can't stay away!
This is an original thick adobe walled Casita. It is an oldie but goodie with all the Santa Fe charm you are looking for. This is not a modern home or hotel but has all the modern conveniences you would need. The casita has vigas with traditional coved ceilings unique to the Santa Fe area, thick adobe walls, and arched doorways. Saltillo tiles cover the bathroom and kitchen floors. Solid pine floors cover the bedroom, dining room and front room with antique rugs that we have collected around the world.
Our casita is secluded behind an old adobe wall and is located on a quiet street in a lovely old neighborhood with no thru traffic.
We have tried to furnish the casita to meet the needs of most guests. The living space includes one bedroom with an en suite full bath, front room, dining room, furnished kitchen and a shaded, private courtyard behind the aforementioned adobe wall. This is our favorite spot for enjoying morning coffee or a cold beverage after a day spent exploring the world-class shops and galleries that Santa Fe has to offer.
The bedroom is equipped with a luxury iCloud memory foam queen-size mattress with luxury linens and high definition television with DIRECTV service. The living room has a comfortable sofa and a reclining club chair for additional relaxing. The spacious dining room also holds the stereo receiver equipped with a Bose speaker system. It is also Bluetooth compatible, enabling guests to pair their device to play their favorite music. Local artwork adorns the walls and many of the furnishings are created by local artisans.
The home has air conditioning for warmer days. Also included is a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer. Free wi-fi and parking round out the highlights.
The casita is located within easy walking distance to the historical Santa Fe Plaza, the Railyard District and Canyon Road. The average person should be able to make this walk in 8-10 minutes, or less. Several very nice restaurants are also within walking distance.
DeVargas Center is about 2 blocks away and houses over 50 shops and eateries, including The Market grocery store, Sprouts Natural Foods and a CVS Pharmacy.
We welcome you to enjoy our beautiful casita. It truly is a dream home in a dream location.

Excellent! Peaceful! Private!

Wonderful casita, exactly as pictured. Patio was awesome and private. We parked our vehicle and walked, had food delivered one night due to current COVID situation. Highly recommend this home and owners were very easy to work with, great communication. Thank you again for the anniversary note and bottle of champagne:)

Beautiful property in an amazing location!

Absolutely fantastic property in a wonderful location in the heart of Santa Fe. The house itself is gorgeous and beautifully decorated. The front porch was a magnificent place to enjoy coffee in the morning or dinner in the evening with privacy and the sounds of singing birds. The property has everything you could possibly need and I would 100% recommend!

Beautiful home away from home

We were in Santa Fe recently for a short stay and luckily came upon Lynn's casita when we planned our trip. It was a perfect place for a couple's weekend getaway. It is walking distance to the plaza and just about anywhere else you would want to go. The casita is beautifully decorated and has a lovely front courtyard where you can enjoy a meal, cup of coffee in the morning or a glass a wine in the evening. Lynn was extremely responsive and we would definitely recommend this home to anyone visiting Santa Fe. Thank you Lynn. Rhonda and Tom

Great place to stay!

Renting on VRBO couldn't be easier! Owner responded quickly with info, stayed in touch with me. Casa was clean & comfortable, filled with lovely southwestern art & nice amenities. Close to the plaza, walking distance to groceries, longer walk to farmers market. Area was quiet. Casa had a nice veranda to enjoy the weather & ambiance. Would recommend this casa & would definitely stay there again

Enjoyed our stay on this quiet street which is within easy walking distance of the Plaza. The front patio was a delight on which to sit in the mornings with our breakfast and coffee. There is much to do in Santa Fe in August and this location made it so easy for us to enjoy what the city has to offer. Thank you.

Terrific place

This property had everything my husband and I want in a vacation property. It is charming, comfortable and with a great location. It's close enough to the plaza to walk, but the street is very quiet. The kitchen was very well equipped. It had everything we needed. I'm hoping to be able to stay again on a future trip.

Quintessential Santa Fe

This lovely place was perfect for my husband and me during our recent trip to Santa Fe. We appreciated the opportunity to be able to walk to the plaza, but also to relax in this extremely comfortable home after hours out. We’ve been to Santa Fe many times and still found more wonderful suggestions from Lynn to be perfect for our experience! We highly recommend this property!

This property was beautiful! My husband and I spent our Anniversary weekend there, and right when we walked in, there was a lovely card and a bottle of wine waiting for us on the dining table from Lynn! It was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. We loved everything about this casita! It was very clean and welcoming! I loved how there was a No Shoe rule (very clean)! Literally walking distance to downtown SF plaza! Uber rides were very cheap if you don’t feel like walking! I highly recommend this place! We will be returning and staying here again!

Charming and Comfortable

Everything in this home was inviting and comfortable. The bed and the pillows were perfect. If you have a "touchy" back this place is for you. I woke up every day with my back feeling great. The kitchen had everything I needed. The water pressure was great in the shower (also a tub for soakers). The clothes washer and dryer did a great job. Everything was superior.

A cozy, charming casita in an excellent location

The pictures say it all. If you’re looking for an historic Santa Fe style casita, this is a great choice! It is in a great location to visit the historic plaza area of Santa Fe. An easy walk to restaurants and shops with the bonus of being a short walk in the opposite direction via an off-street paved walking path to DeVargas shopping center with a grocery and pharmacy to pick up any incidentals you may need as well as some excellent eateries. Try Atrisco Cafe for excellent southwest fare. The owners have outfitted the casita and kitchen with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The street outside is very private and quiet, and the outdoor seating area is a lovely place to have your morning coffee or an evening drink. The off street parking is also excellent. The only negative, if you can call it that, is the only tv is in the bedroom, but hey, you’re probably not in Santa Fe to watch tv. The positives far outweigh this, but I thought I’d mention it in case that is important to you. I highly recommend this home.

Sweet, authentic, walking distance to Santa Fe favorites!

Terra-cotta tiles, low, timbered ceilings, old wooden floored, beautiful woven rugs...this sweet little adobe exudes Old Santa Fe charm in every way. A lovely walled in patio is the perfect place for morning coffee or evening cocktails. Lynn has thought of everything as far as stocking what you might need for a long or short stay. We just stayed two nights. One of my favorite spots was the leather recliner by the window where I usually wrapped myself in a faux fur throw and in enjoyed glass of wine after a full day of Santa Fe activities...farmer’s market, artisan’s market, Cowgirl bison green chili burger, Georgia O’Keefe museum, jewelry shopping and just hanging out on the square soaking in everything. We were able to walk to every area we wanted to visit. Will definitely be back!

Lovely. 4.5 stars.

Cozy space. Atractive decor. Convenient walk to Plaza attractions. Wonderful patio!!! Pleasant & responsive owner. Space felt smallish due to 2-seat couch & tight bath. We did not cook but nice kitchen. Overall fine. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Lynn.

Central & Comfortable

Great location. Easy ten minute walk to Plaza. Easy drive about SF or going out of town. Comfortable for couples (or single). Everything works well ... WiFi, AC, hot water (including pressure), washing machine, etc. Big plus is the well decorated private patio ... perfect for relaxing with a drink or for a simple dinner (we did both). But be aware that the TV is in the bedroom so if you want to watch a show you sit on the bed. Also, there is a “no shoe” policy which isn’t an issue ... but the floors are covered with overlapping rugs and you need to be careful not to trip. Would definitely return.
