Santorini Windmill

Lovely experience. The Property owner was great, both communicative and helpful. He made wonderful restaurant recommendations. The only downsides were the road noise and lack of points of interest within walking distance. Strongly recommend renting a vehicle. The windmill itself was as advertised. It was very clean and quaint. Breakfast by the pool in the morning was a wonderful way to start the day.

Amazing week in Santorini

The lilac windmill villa exceeded all of our expectations. Located on the quiet side of Santorini, it was an easy 15 minute drive to get to all of the hotspots. We enjoyed the serenity of our own pool along with ample space to relax. Our accommodations were cleaned daily and the delicious breakfast served every morning was a bonus. Finally, our host Nikos was wonderful and very helpful in coordinating excursions and massages. We highly recommend this great property!

Excellent place for exploring Santorini

We loved our holiday at the Lilac Windmill villa and would stay again. Our host Nikos was very friendly and quick to reply to any questions about villa and Santorini. A welcome bottle of local wine was a lovely gift - thank you!! The villa was clean, light and cool, with a well equipped kitchen and bathrooms. Kids loved the pool, and the water was just about warm enough for an afternoon swim at the end of October. The location is very convenient in between Oia and Thera, a car was definitely needed to get around. All in all, a great villa and we’d highly recommmend it.

Fantastic Stay

This was our first time to Santorini and Nikos and family couldn't have been more gracious and helpful. They welcomed us and shared information about various spots around the island. Gave advice and recommended excursions and helped us get them booked. The accommodations worked well for our family and morning breakfast was excellent. highly recommend.

Too short. A perfect setting. Fabulous property.

What can we say. The setting is extraordinary. View of the sea is everywhere. The property is fabulous, comfortable and very well furnished, spotless. Garden and poll are paradise. Breakfasts on the pool terrace made for long lasting memories. Sun everywhere. But most of all, the spirit of Windmills lies with Nikos and his beautiful family. Nowhere have we met such joyful, friendly and helpful people. Windmill villas would not have been the same without them. We long to be back, and will recommend anytime ! One million thank yous !! A little bit of Windmill paradise in Santorini

The Lilac Windmill surpassed expectations. From the welcome from Nikos and his wife to our departure everything was perfect. The quality of the accommodation together with its private pool and outdoor facilities set the foundation for a fabulous relaxing week long break. Away from the hustle of Oia and Imerovigli yet 10 minutes away by car, the peace and tranquility offered allows the best of both worlds .. a restful getaway to explore the island. Breakfasts were served when you wanted it either in the windmill or at the outside seating area consisted of fresh squeezed orange juice, eggs, a selection of fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries and bread. The wonderful quirkiness of the windmill were a joy, as were the pool and gas BBQ neither of which were overlooked but afforded uninterrupted views of the Aegean Sea. Nikos provided recommendations to local restaurants, beaches, local attractions and sites .. all of which never failed to disappoint. In addition, he booked trips at a days notice which provided the icing to the cake. The Lilac Windmill is a heavenly base on an idyllic island and is recommended without hesitation.

Windmill Villas were beautiful, quirky, immaculately clean with private pool.

Windmill villas was a really good choice for staying at Santorini, you do need a car to get about. It was situated away from the crowds of people so it was lovely to come back to for some peace and quiet and a lovely outlook. There is a little road noise though and you do see aeroplanes but somehow that doesn't matter. Couldn't have been made more welcome and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend it rather than paying crazy hotel costs at Oia where you would be overlooked. Having breakfast included worked well for us and you can choose a time for it to arrive. It would also work well going with friends or extended family and having a windmill each as they are 3 lovely windmills together.

A dream in lilac!

We had a wonderful 1 week stay in the lilac windmill and felt like in a holiday dream. The location was extraordinary with all comforts of a villa with the special feeling of living in a round windmill as well as of a hotel, e.g. cleaning, breakfast. The private pool and the house keeping service were fantastic. We especially loved the rich breakfast with pancakes, Greek yogurt, fruits,… Nicos, the landlord, was very welcoming and friendly. All check-in and organizational matters were handled very professionally and quick via WhatsApp. This comfort made it a very relaxed and special holiday for our whole family.
