We decided to stay at the hotel after a concert. The hotel is beautiful, clean, comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. We didnt eat at hotel so I can't comment on the food. My only 2 complaints: 1st the elevators were not working and guests had to use the service elevator. 2nd I left my favorite Starbucks water bottle in the refrigerator of my room. When I went back a few days later I was told it hadn't been turned in. I know I left it in there...someone kept it.

We really enjoyed our stay. I was however disappointed that I was unable to adjust the temperature in the room due to not finding the control panel anywhere. I did manage to prop open a window that had a screen, one window was missing a screen.

We arrived early and the woman behind the desk was not friendly. We asked if room was ready she said no. We asked when and she said no. Ok when? Reply was check in is at 4. I said i know and she did not offer to hold bags or should have said she would call us when room was ready. When we came back to check in another person checked us in and was much nicer. The original woman was unfriendly and curt.

Differed maintenance

Lovely classic hotel and great location that suffers from differed maintenance and not enough staff, esp. in the restaurant. The main elevator has been out of service for months. We had to use the service elevator and make sure the attendant was available. Good beds and nice room but bathtub water was rusty at first and inside of the bathroom door was grubby and paint was chipped.
