The Neighborhood:

Keep in mind these are winding mountain roads. Many of the best attractions are spread out. The park is gorgeous but timely to navigate for first time flat-landers. There is no Cell Service once you're in the park so be prepared with maps or screen shots. There are no cabins inside the park other than the ones you may pass on certain hikes that are 100 years old and not inhabitable. It's a national park since 1934.



PIGEON FORGE: 8 Miles 20-25 Minutes.

GATLINBURG: 18 Miles 45 minutes Heavy Traffic.

CADES COVE: 30 mountain miles. 1 hour 30 minutes to get there. The loop at Cade's cove is 10.6 miles. Drive it, rent a bike at the start and bike it, or run it. It is closed to cars and open to runners and cyclists Wednesday and Saturday mornings until 10:00am Early May to Late September. Gorgeous views, wildlife, and a pretty good chance you'll see a bear.

CLINGMAN'S DOME: 38 mountain miles. This will take 3-4 hours round trip. There are plenty of amazing hikes at Newfound Gap on the way up such as Andrews Bald and "The Jump Off" and more hikes in the Clingman's Dome area. Those less adventurous should at the very least check out the observation tower at Clingman's dome.

DOLLYWOOD: 12 Miles Easy Roads.

Wears Valley Rd: 6.2 Miles.

The Apple Barn: 6 Miles.

Tanger Outlet Malls: 6.5 Miles.

Titanic Museum: 6.2 Miles.

The Island Amusement Park: 6.9 Miles.

Rocky Top Harley Davidson: 7.6 Miles.

Wears Cove Gap (our secret park entrance): 13 Miles.

Foothills Parkway park entrance: 15 Miles.

Neyland Stadium Knoxville 20 Miles 35 Minutes.

Gatlinburg park entrance: 18 Miles.

Omaha, NE: 940 Miles.

Starkville, MS: 421 Miles.

New York City: 703 Miles.

Nashville: 205 Miles.

Getting Around:

No scary mountain roads to get to this cabin. The driveway is gravel but everything is totally flat.

Easy access even in snow!



Other Things to Note:

Towels and linens provided.



All persons MUST be 21 years of age without a guardian. Message us for exceptions.



The hot tub is for guests 21 and over only. Alcohol is not allowed near the hot tub. You are not allowed to use the hot tub if you have consumed alcohol or you are pregnant. Use the hot tub AT YOUR OWN RISK!



As with all cabins in the area the fireplace is shut down April 1 - October 1.



If it is 90 degrees or hotter outside and the air conditioner is running, condensation will form on the ceiling as this is a log cabin and does not have an attic.



We do not offer late check out or early check in.



Soaps, shampoos, toiletries, condiments, zip locks, charcoal and coffee are NOT provided



Please message us before booking more than 2 people!



Pets are NOT allowed. If you sneak in a pet of any kind you will be charged $175 and asked to leave.



Absolutely no fires! Unauthorized fires (including candles) will be charged $50 plus damages

Cabin was inviting & cozy. Kitchen was workable & had everything we needed for short stay. Location was wooded but restaurants & shopping were 15 mins away. Would love to return for longer stay. One suggestion would be a small rig or doormat inside door to wipe wet feet as enter. Was a mat outside door but it was wet from rain.

Cabin was remarkably clean. It was easy to get to. The drive to Gatlinburg and the park wasn't bad. Everything there takes time to get to. The hot tub worked (which is often not the case we've found). We had a brief outage of wifi and the owner got service out right away and got it resolved. They were very responsive. The cabin was cozy but still had everything we needed for a great vacation.

Wonderful cabin

We were there for a little getaway. The cabin was wonderful. We felt alone in the woods. The joke of our trip was whenever we checked to see how far away something was, it was about 15 minutes. The cabin was very clean, check-in easy, and checkout was simple. Plenty of utensils and kitchen basics so we cooked several meals in the cabin. The hot tub was a wonderful way to end our days. Even the mattress was very comfortable and I slept well. We plan to be back again.

Highly enjoyed staying at the "Reach for the Sky" cabin. Although there were a few homes in the area, it felt very secluded which was exactly what we were looking for! The place was extremely clean and Parvan and Tracey were great communicators and even suggested places to visit and where to eat. Would highly recommend for a couples' get-away!

Overall the property was nice and very secluded. There’s only 3 negatives; the couch wasn’t comfortable. The living room and kitchen ceiling dripped water from condensation. The towels in the bathroom were terrible so we bought our own. I would give the place a 4 out of 5. I would stay here again for the right price.

Red birds

Although the property was very clean, secluded and peaceful the most pleasurable part of our trip were the red birds that tapped on the bedroom window at 5am and the living room windows shortly afterwards. The hot tub was definitely well used and an added bonus. I was in awe from the spectacular views on our way there to how great our stay was. I would HIGHLY recommend this property to any couples that want some private time. We’ll definitely return for another mini-vacay.
