Walk into town for shopping, dining, and on your way stop at the library, kids playground, and chapel right down the street. After a day at the lake or China peak Ski Resort enjoy making a meal in our stunning kitchen. The kitchen features sinker wood custom cabinets, granite countertops, and beautiful stone floor. Step into our large living room with large TV and relax on the reclining leather couches. Grab a game, DVD, or puzzle from our cabinet, and enjoy the beautiful view from our game room. With Four bedrooms and 5th room with a murphy bed everyone will have there own space to sleep, sit, read, or enjoy the view. Walk across the street to the Saw Mill to grab a bite to eat. In the garage the family can enjoy a four in one pool table, air hockey, foos ball, ping pong table, bar, and movies. There is also a dart board.

Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please load and unload all dishes from the dishwasher Wash all Bath Towels Used
Put all trash in outside trash cans in black bags. Pull trash cans into garage. If leaving on a Monday pull the cans up to 168 before 9 am.
Make sure if you used BBQ that it is clean and propane lever is on off. If Winter Guest Water needs to be turned on/off behind door to left of fireplace with the tool on ground.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Shaver Lake Getaway

This property was beautiful and well stocked! The owner’s communication and help was amazing! We had 8 in our party with 5 of them being young adults. There was a great game room and garage with pool, etc. for them to play. We had a great time and look forward to maybe staying again.

Shaver Lake Delight

Stayed here for one night in September. Nice big cabin just off the road going into Shaver Lake. Nice kitchen, cozy family room, wonderful deck. Slept six of us, each in our own bed. Owner Jill was great, making sure we had clear directions to the place and that we got in OK. Great value and a great time.

Cozy cabin perfect for families

We loved this cabin and will definitely stay again. The kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans, utensils, etc that we needed to eat most of our meals in the cabin. The local restaurants are limited (great pizza, sandwich shop, grill options). The dining area and living room were both big enough for our family of 5 to eat/rest comfortably. The cozy fireplace, tv/dvd player, and beautiful views made relaxing in the cabin a highlight. Bedrooms were comfortable and having two bathrooms was helpful. The renovated kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, and original paneling in this cabin was the perfect combo of updated and vintage. Clean, comfortable, and warm from the heater and gas fireplace. The owner Jill was super responsive to questions. China Peak ski area is not far away, and there are two snow parks on the way. There were mudslides and some road work being done which slowed us down, so leave extra time to get around. Carry chains although we luckily didn't have to use them this trip. We had to leave a day early due to storms, but we had an epic ski / boarding day before we left. In Shaver, Bob's Market is well stocked and he is super helpful. Two sporting goods stores carry sleds, clothing and gear. Many trails to hike/walk (we like the trail behind the Forestry Fire Station on Dinkey Creek, which takes you through the woods and down to the shores of Shaver Lake), although right now the snow is so high you would need snow shoes. We have stayed in several cabins in Shaver, and this was by far our favorite. We will be back to enjoy the beautiful deck with gorgeous views.

Perfect Shaver Lake House

The house was ideally located. Easily accessible to Tollhouse Rd., the town of Shaver Lake, and the lake itself. The house was a perfect combination of quaint mountain cabin and updated amenities. We will definitely return! We loved the large deck, spacious outdoor patio sofa sectional, patio table, Barbq and, of course, the view.

Birthday Weekend at Baxter Cabin

We celebrated a family birthday at Shaver Lake. The cabin was great for us. Beautiful view of the valley. Close to the lake, well stocked for group cooking and dining, great area for game playing. Jill kept us well informed and was available if we had any questions. We hiked the Lake Shore Trail and stopped for swimming and a picnic lunch which everyone agreed made for the perfect day.

Comfortable cabin in a convenient location

We had a wonderful time spending a couple days at the Baxter Cabin in January. The cabin was clean, spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. The location is very convenient- tucked away from main road, but still very close to town’s restaurants. The cabin sits atop a hill and we were able to go sledding right outside the cabin with plenty of space for snowman building and snowball fights too. Look forward to coming back on our next Shaver Lake vacation.
