Papa Bear kutsuu sinut rentoutumaan kauniissa joen rannalla sijaitsevassa hirsimökissä, jolla on kaikki oikeat mukavuudet ja näkymä vertaansa vailla. Sijaitsee lähellä kaunista Skyline Drive- ja laskettelurinteitä. Tutustu kuuluisaan Luray-luoliin tai ota lyhyen ajomatkan päässä Thomas Jeffersonin kotiin. Ehkä vain rentoutua tai kalastaa tai lukea hyvää kirjaa. Tämä hytti luo varmasti muistoja elinikäiseksi.
Papa Bear's River Cabin on perheen omistama ja rakennettu herra Ron Hensley ja poika Tony Hensley. Shenandoahin laakso on kaunis paikka, ja me rakastamme jakaa alueen luonnon kauneutta vieraamme kanssa.

Tämä mökki sijaitsee vain lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä kohteesta Shenandoah River. Majoituspaikassa on saatavilla poreallas, pyykinpesutilat ja pelihalli/-huone. Mökissä tarjoaa asiakkaiden käyttöön esimerkiksi ilmaisen Wi-Fi-yhteyden ja keittiön.

My husband and I booked papa bears to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The cabin was absolutely perfect. A little slice of heaven for sure and we already can not wait to come back. The hosts were very attentive and responsive and check in and out was a breeze. Thanks for making our anniversary memories so special. See you again!

I stayed at this property with my family, including four children two of whom are babies. The place wasn’t cleaned properly before our arrival. The floors were visibly dirty, and we even found personal items left behind by previous guests, which made us question the hygiene standards right away, including popcorn in the sofa. One of the beds was covered in some kind of sticky residue, which was disgusting. The drywall wasn’t finished and the property was infested with invasive spotted lanternflies. They were everywhere on the porch and kept finding their way inside the house, creating a constant battle to keep them out. During our stay, we lost both power and water, which was incredibly inconvenient with babies in tow who need reliable access to basic essentials. I ended up being late to my best friend’s wedding, and couldn’t be a bridesmaid because of this. Despite this major disruption, we weren’t offered a partial refund. The neighbors were blasting music every single night, until 3 AM. This made it impossible to get a good night’s sleep. One of the checkout requirements was to clean up the property ourselves, which we did thoroughly. But why on earth were we charged a cleaning fee when the place wasn’t even clean when we got there? It seems hypocritical and unfair.

Peaceful getaway

The house and property exceeded our expectations and our family enjoyed our stay. The bugs were pretty bad near the river but the large catfish catches made it worth it.

Great family getaway for Thanksgiving

Stayed for Thanksgiving holiday with adult kids who live in VA. Perfect place for families of all ages. House was cozy, clean, well appointed and location on river was fantastic and short drive to Luray. Would definitely stay againd.

Nature's Retreat

We Love this home. Everything about this property is peaceful snd inviting. This was our 3rd vacation at Papa Bears and we cannot wait to return! Super clean and comfortable. Communication with the owner was immediate. The daily visits from the deer and turkeys were a plus. A1 rating . We dream about owning a cabin exactly like Papa Bears someday soon.

Lovely Cabin

We stayed at this cabin for a few days and had a wonderful time. We loved the large yard and fire pit, and the river is very peaceful and serene. There is a semi-busy road behind the property, but it was not a problem for us. Access to the river is a little difficult as the bank is very high, but it didn't detract from our enjoyment.

Nice stay

We enjoyed our stay for a weekend getaway. View of the river was really nice and property was private aside from the road nearby. We enjoyed the fire pit with provided firewood. Everything was clean and beds were comfortable. Would stay again.

This cabin was spot on. Beautiful location, privacy and everything you would need for a relaxing stay. The owners were very friendly in speaking with. I have stayed at numerous rentals in my lifetime but this one..."papa bear cabin" is one that had me and the gang wanting to rent again and again. Wonderful location on the water

We had 2 families stay in this cozy cabin for 3 days, it has all the amenities you could ever ask for. Located in a gorgeous private space, with rolling hills, on the South Fork of the Shenandoah River. The kids, aged 6 and 12, caught their first fish!!!

Relaxing Week at the Cabin

This is our second visit to this cabin — it was just as wonderful as the first. The cabin is beautiful, stocked with anything you could need. Fishing was great — the bass were biting! We look forward to a 3rd visit in the future!

Simply the best

Beautiful, well appointed house that was the perfect backdrop for a peaceful long weekend with my family. We shared food, fellowship, fishing, relaxation, some sightseeing all on the comforts of what felt like a home away from home. The owners are extremely nice, helpful and easy to contact. You will not go home at their beautiful cabin. We didn’t and will be back.
