Stayed at Furama City Centre for 9 nights September 25 room 1221. It’s only about a block from Chinatown, across the road is chinapoint and MRT and in opposite direction Clarke Quay not more than 15 min. All the buildings from furama to quay have walkways connecting them. So many restaurants on both side of river. Boat Quay has so many different types of restaurants with outdoor seating along river. The colourful old hill police station is there and a little further on the Fullerton and Merlion. So a pretty good place to stay. It cost $35 with a taxi from airport a bit pricey. But because we had no idea about using MRT that’s the option we took. Room was a little dated but is comfy, clean, good size. Same with bathroom. For some reason we were given a room with twin beds, nevertheless pretty comfy. Remember to bring a USB for charging because there are none in the room. Also make sure you have your apps for tv services eg Netflix, Prime etc because tv has casting. If you’re from Oz apps like Kayo wouldn’t allow access and not even with a VPN. There is only a kettle and fridge. If you run out of sugar, tea, coffee or need extra towels they are next to the elevator there is a box to help yourself. Also in the corridor is a water fountain on the wall to fill bottles with or the carafe you have in your room (only room temp water). A good idea for the environment. Housekeeping tends to room every 3 days and do a great job. Our stay included breakfast. Some mornings hot food items

It’s a handy location for a mid-range hotel. Beds were comfy and facilities basic but everything you need. It’s a bit tired but renovations are underway. The hotel is very close to the MRT and buses, making it easy to get around. Can walk to many places except for the heat and tropical downpours.

Rooms were a bit tired in facilities and decor. The hotel was going through some modernization so we came at the wrong time! Note we booked family room where the bathroom facilies are enclosed by glass walls; privacy was a concern even though there were blinds and frosted glass. Otherwise stay was good..staff very nice & helpful, breakfast great and central location.

My Stay at Furama - Singapore

Feedback to Management. My recent stay at your hotel was disappointing due to several issues that, in my opinion, fall well below the standards expected of a 4-star establishment. Lack of Customer Service: The staff at the front desk consistently gave guests an unfriendly, blank look instead of greeting them with a smile or a reciprocal greeting. A basic level of warmth and friendliness from staff would go a long way in making guests feel welcome. Unacceptable Cleaning Policies: While I support eco-friendly initiatives, the hotel's policies seem to use this as a guise for cutting costs, significantly impacting guest experience. It's reasonable for guests to reuse linens for multiple days, but only cleaning the room every three nights is not acceptable. This is a basic service that even a motel provides daily. Furthermore, expecting guests to clean their own coffee mugs is simply not a standard for a hotel of this caliber. Overall Impression: The lack of basic comfort, quality, and service was very noticeable. The only redeeming part of my stay was the concierge, Raman, who was courteous and helpful. His service was the only aspect that met the standards one would expect. Suggestions for Improvement: Train all staff, especially the front desk team, on how to greet guests and interact in a friendly and professional manner. "Eco-Friendly" Policies-other hotels successfully implement sustainable practices without sacrificing basic 4 star standard. Future stay no-no for me.

Comfy beds but the rooms need updating.

This hotel is ok, the beds are comfortable, and the room's were clean and breakfast was nice. The rooms are dated and in need of some work, the shower head didnt fit onto the holder and would come off when you turned the shower on so you had to hold it. The restaurant area wasn't very big and we found it hard to get a table one morning. The location of the hotel is very good, near to tube stations.

Good value family room in great location

Great hotel, in great location for Clarke Quay, restaurants, river cruises, and Chinatown. We had a connecting room which was great for our family. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, especially the croissants and waffles. We also made use of the pool, which was lovely in the middle of a hot day. ☺️

Very tired and old, aircon in our room was set at 24 degrees and sometimes went to 25 degrees and could not be adjusted. The shower head sat in a bracket but if turned on anything but low it would spray everywhere. The staff down the front that looked after the luggage were rude and dismissive. If I come back to Singapore I would not stay at this accommodation

Ive stayed in the hotel before and can not fault the staff all very helpful and welcoming. The location of the hotel is perfect in the central position so easy to visit various places. The only thing is that it hasnt changed since i last visited 6 years ago so i think it just needs updating.
