"The Scooby Shack" features 1 king bedroom, 1 twin-bunk bedroom, 1.5 bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, linens (bath towels, beach towels, and sheets), full-sized front and back decks (with child/doggy gate), a 4-burner outdoor gas grill, an outdoor shower with dual shower heads, yard games, 2 backpack beach chairs & sand toys! Dogs welcome - Up to 2 dogs under 75lb each for $100! *Military discount given to those with active ID*

The host was wonderful and easy to reach if needed. This is our second time and we love how cozy and close to the beach it is. Our dogs were accepted and also enjoyed. The neighbors were very friendly.

How many ammenities fit in a small cozy area. Decore really cute! Stairs not steep. A plus with aging dog and seniors. Every bit of space used to allow convenience and allowing us to move in.

The Scooby Shack was perfect for our stay of 2 people. We were at N.Topsail for a weekend wedding which happened to be across the street. Updated features and very comfortable bed made our stay complete. Our host Tara was very responsive with any questions we had. We would love to book again during the warmer months!

We had a great time during our vacation at the Scooby Shack! It was our first time bringing our pups to the beach and it was the perfect place. The convenience of the outdoor shower (especially with dogs) was unmatched and the water pressure throughout the home was excellent. We loved that there was a gate to keep our dogs on the back deck as well. Great location and neighborhood!

The Scooby Shack is a wonderful little retreat. The amenities are perfect and the location is fabulous. We wanted a quiet relaxing beach vacation and we got just that. The neighbors are all respectful and even the fire department is quiet! The home provides everything a small family or group needs for an extended vacation. We spent 9 wonderful days here and will come back! The home owner is very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend this as a vacay destination.

Fantastic Topsail beach “shack”!!!

So happy we discovered the Scooby Shack on VRBO! The house was clean, tastefully furnished and decorated, and has the perfect layout. We ate lunch on the back deck every day and did not have to worry about our dogs because of the puppy/baby gate. Beach access was so easy! King size bed was wonderful! Dining table was big enough to do a 1000 piece puzzle on! The Scooby Shack checked all the boxes for us!

Wonderful!

This beach cottage was adorable and it was perfect for our family of 3 plus our dog. We loved the decks, outdoor shower, area under the house and the close beach access. The extra 1/2 bath was great to have and I was really impressed with how everything was organized in a small area. The home does not feel small. We honestly wanted for nothing during our trip. Tara has thought of pretty much everything. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a great trip!

Beautifully decorated, close to the beach, and clean!

The unit was exactly as described. We really enjoyed our visit. The location is a short drive from the restaurants/shops in Surf City. We were a little confused on how to access the beach, but the path is right across the street and closer than we originally thought. All in all a great property and visit.

Gem of a stay in North Topsail

What a great little property with ALL the amenities included!! Linens ✔️bath towels ✔️ beach towels ✔️ air conditioning to freeze the Lut Desert ✔️ hot water to sterilize your micro biome ✔️ WiFi throughout even on decks ✔️ plenty of parking ✔️ indoor full tub, outdoor shower, beach supplies, stocked kitchen… ✔️ ✔️ ✔️ ✔️ The list goes on and on…and don’t get me started on the beach access— right across the street— as in walk off the back deck across the small yard and cross the street to enter the beach path!! Property employs a great economy of space although the bunk style beds might be more comfortable for youth than full size adults. The Scooby Shack has TWO decks and is a hop skip and a jump to the beach so the smaller sleep areas were no issue for us—we were too busy enjoying everything outside! The complex across the street has two restaurants and an ice cream shoppe. You could not be better situated to disappear on a beach vacay and have everything right at hand! Recommend this property and would love to return!!! (read the description so you see the compact layout - king bed is a BIG bed but the bunks are smaller - fit a 5’8” medium build adult but the 5’10” was a bit cramped) Side note-*there is a fire house next door— heard a siren/horn or two during the stay but nothing excessive or disruptive

Best vacay in the perfect place!!💚🐾💚

My husband and I brought our two mini schnauzers with us on vacation to this perfect place!!! We were so comfortable at the Scooby Shack with our girls!! It was very peaceful and this beautiful place literally had everything we needed! Communication with the host was always great, and we no issues whatsoever with our stay!! We truly had the best vacation here and are so thankful to have found this place!! The walk to the beach was an easy 3-4 minute walk, and we so appreciated the chairs there that we were able to take to the beach with us!! I give the Scooby Shack 100 stars!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Perfect Stay!

Our stay at the Scooby Shack was just perfect. The condo was very clean and full of charm. We went to the beach for most of the weekend - it was a very short five minute walk. It was awesome to have the outdoor shower to use after the beach to ensure we did not track sand upstairs. We really enjoyed several of the restaurants in Surf City - Shaka Taco, Topsail Steamer, The Daily Grind, and Sear’s Landing. Thank you Tara for your hospitality and for sharing your lovely condo with us! We cannot wait to return again!

Excellent experience

The Scooby Shack is as quaint and cozy as portayed in the photos. Great use of space- every nook and cranny is used to optimal efficiency. The king bed is very comfortable. The kitchen has everything we needed, and its nice to have sheets and towels provided. It's quick and easy to get to the beach. We were so happy to be able to bring our cockapoo, and she felt very comfortable there. We definitely will stay there again if we return to NorthTopsail.

Relaxing Stay

My husband and I had a relaxing stay at this clean and comfortable property. We enjoyed the easy access to the beach-just a short walk across the street. The kitchen was well equipped and check-in was a breeze. Great place to stay for a couple!
