Nestled in Santa Ynez Valley’s Ballard Canyon, this 2,000 square foot contemporary farmhouse, exclusively offered by Paradise Retreats, sits upon 20 acres, including a private vineyard. Embrace the green hills and viticulture while being within short driving distances to the charming towns of Los Olivos, Santa Ynez, Solvang, and Buellton.

This fully remodeled home showcases high wood-beamed ceilings, an enclosed outdoor dining area, a two-sided fireplace in the living room and porch lounge, and a private office space. The Primary Suite is located on the second floor and includes a private bathroom, gas fireplace, TV, and French doors leading to a personal balcony. There are three spacious guest rooms; two are located downstairs with entrances to the backyard, and one includes an attached bathroom. Drink a glass of locally grown wine by the outdoor fire pit, soak in the hot tub, or swing from a hammock under a shady oak tree to live like locals do.

Stunning property easy close to town but you feel like you are on your out in the country. The hot tub and sauna were great. Kitchen was well equipped. Would love to come back here again.

Country living

The house is lovely and set up for a group of guests to really enjoy r&r and spending time with each other. The home is cozy overall, the jacuzzi and sauna were a nice bonus. The views are great. There is a lot of wildlife to listen to at night- wolves, bobcats and frogs were aplenty.

Solvang Elle's wedding

Great place, quiet location but close to town. Lots of room for us to spread out and kids loved walking down the driveway on our daily walks. Lots of birds. When I had a question the property manager answered and completely solved my problem.

Marvellous venue!

It is a beautiful property! We were in Buellton for a wedding and this was ideal. We loved looking over the vineyards and picking the plums and peaches min the back yard. The fire pit and hot tub were also a hit with our family.

Magical Trip to Solvang

We were taking our daughter to orientation at UCSB and have a big family. The Solvang house was perfect! The kitchen is clean and has all of the necessary equipment to cook a big meal. The communication from the host was perfect. The property is beautiful and safe. We would love to return. Thanks so much!

Disappointed in Property Manager

It’s a beautiful property. However, we were disappointed in the Property Management Team. We arrived to a very hot house. The AC was not working and the house was closed up and extremely hot. We notified the property management group.There was confusion on their part whether the home had ac through out or only the bottom floor. The listing said the home was air conditioned. Then they told us there were fans in each room. We found only 1 and it was not enough. The ac was not working. They had enough time to bring more fans but somehow they could not get ahold of anyone to drop them off. For the amount of money we paid a night, a bigger effort should have been made to send someone to Get the AC repaired or at the very least, Drop off more fans that day or evening. Several of our party that slept upstairs were so uncomfortable that they were not able to sleep till 5am which affected the next days planned activities. We were refunded a portion of the cost of 1 night and told the rest of the amount were VRBO fees and I needed to resolve the issue with VRBO. However, after speaking with VRBO, only a small portion was VRBO fees. The rest were Host fees. Disappointing.

Most Peaceful and Beautiful Place to Escape

Pictures do not do this house justice. The view of the valley is breath taking. We spent a week here to explore Buelton and Paso Robles wine districts. Had the best time with our whole family together.

Mixed Feelings

Overall, this property was beautiful, check-in was super easy and the photos truly represent the property well. The view from the property is surreal and it was easy to access from downtown solvang and shopping. With that being said there a few concerns worth mentioning. - The house has ALOT of spiders. I know we are in the countryside and on an active vineyard, but there were a lot in the interior of the home. We also found several earwigs. Also note, if you run around in the yard- make sure to check yourself for ticks (we found several on us). - The doors lock weirdly. Although the doors lock (to the outside), they are always able to be opened in the interior. There was no way to securely lock the doors from the inside. This was a safety issues for us as we were traveling with several kids. There is a large drop off on the side of the house, so having different locks in the interior should be inquired about. - Air vents need to be cleaned, there was a significant amount of debris coming from vents and it the AC filters are really overdue for a change.

Randall Stay at Ballard Canyon Ranch

Beautiful. Comfortable. Accessible. Clean. Wonderful experience. Electrical, etc. worked perfectly. The property handbook was exceptionally organized and helpful. The only matter that was of concern: there was a bad smell in the office portion of the house upon our arrival. I thought it was a result of the house being closed up. As our stay continued, the smell became increasingly worse. 2 of our friends are ranchers, and they were certain there was a dead rodent or other in the closet in the office or under the floorboards. I reported the matter to the property manager on Saturday June 15. The Property Manager was kind. He said he would send a ranch hand to the house to investigate the matter. I didn't follow-up to determine whether that was completed - we were so busy with planned events.

This is a fabulous property and ranch. The view and location are stunning. Wedding Trip Woes

The property setting is gorgeous, and the house, while overall was nice, there were unexpected problems: * there was no garbage can provided outside, so we had no safe place from pests to put the full trash bags that piled up during our 4 day stay. * one upstairs bedroom is totally open with no door for privacy and noise control. That is not communicated in the site. * the other upstairs bedroom has a bed that is unbelievably squeaky and loud with any movement, enough to wake you and others in the open room. * the oven had an error code on the display and would not come on. We looked it up, and it required access to the breaker panel or the plug and could not be fixed. * the hot tub, the focal point of the marketing of this property, was not user friendly at all and did not have any directions on how to use it.

Great house for family retreat. Location is outstanding with views and quiet. East access to all of the small towns in the area and minutes away to Hwy 101 to Santa Barbara or north to Paso Robles.

Unbelievably Fabulous!

Words cannot express how absolutely amazing this propery is! As soon as we entered I could tell this was a place like no other. I immediately noticed how impeccably clean it was, and it felt so cozy! Everything we could have possibly needed was provided, and the white cotton robes were an added bonus! I loved waking up, opening he doors to the balcony outside the bedroom and looking at the vinyard with the mountains as the backdrop! The firepit in the back was a peaceful gathering place for us to relax and reminisce about our day. We loved it so much we aasked if we could stay one more night! Thank you so much for opening your home to us!

So serene

Absolutely loved our stay. Two MINOR issues. TV in living room did not work and seemed to be missing the box. Upstairs was beyond comfortable, however, no door on the Master Bedroom lead to hearing all kitchen and living room activity. No worries on either for us, as we did not stay here to watch TV and we are early risers. Met Dave, the contractor and loved hearing about the home and future plans for the property! Not a single detail overlooked - beyond comfy and charming!
