House needs attention on some maintenance issues as AC in the living area but the bedrooms units working fine which sufficed. The house is very roomy liked the symmetrical layout. But the main drawing point is if You prefer a quiet place to retreat after a day of adventure this is the Garden of Eden. Property is large, fenced and at the end of the road so very private and safe. Each morning, I so enjoyed waking up drinking my Tea on the front covered porch and listening to the variety of birds, the view of the vegetation, the sound of the river, and occasional misting of a rain shower. This was the highlight of My stay. Unfortunately, there is no view of the river, but We found a path to see it. And another hint although the road ends (if you are a trailblazer) around that corner you can actually walk through to the road over for a shorter route to walk into town. Again, if you love peace and quiet after your busy day tripping this is the place for You. And Mindy, the manager, was very attentive in making sure You stay was on par. Maison 79 You brought me Joy! Upon entering Maison 79 we immediately felt at home. The spacious house had plenty of room for us to spread out and was furnished in a way that felt comfortable and cozy. The setting was very quiet and secluded, yet still close to town. And the host was very gracious and quick to respond to questions. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and wouldn't hesitate to book again!

PROS: The property was very beautiful and had a lot of privacy. The owner, Nicole was very responsive and her property manager was very helpful and checked in a lot. The lizards in the house were fun and seemed to help keep the bugs down a bit. There were enough dishes and silverware for 4 people. The fridge was large enough to put all of our groceries in. CONS: The place was not clean. There was food, dirt and dead bugs on the floor when we arrived. I took a cup out of the cupboard and something had laid eggs in it. The window was left open in one of the bedrooms so the house had mosquitoes when we arrived. The shower curtains, sheets and towels had rust or blood spots on them. The bottom of the shower had hair, dirt and plastic wrappers in it and the drains were slow so you shower in standing water. There was what looked like blood on the floor in one of the bedrooms. You couldn't set anything down on the table or counter for more than 30 seconds without ants getting into it. I killed a large spider in the couch and there were 2.5 inch long cockroaches. Lighting/electrical: not enough lighting for the space and burned out fixtures. There wasn't enough lighting in the bathroom to shave by or put on makeup. The house requires power converters that are very loud when operating, in inconvenient appliances like the bedroom lamps.The laundry room smells like chemicals and mold and the door is broken and has to be tied shut or it makes the house stink.

This property is extremely spacious and nicely private. It is a very short drive to Soufrière shops, restaurants and beaches although the access roads are a little rough. The home is well equipped with modern conveniences, plenty of towels, a working TV and some basic toiletries. There is good AC in the bedrooms and dining area. The lounge was cooled with two large fans during our stay, but there is an AC unit there too which just needs a little attention. The host replied to our enquiries quickly and was very accommodating, making several changes to suit our needs. The manager was similarly easy to contact and was helpful and reliable. Henry offered housekeeping assistance and valuable local knowledge. The verandas, tropical garden and surroundings added to the charm. We were happy, safe and comfortable here.

Perfect privacy

Nicole's home is a lovely, spacious property, a delight to come home to after a day of exploring. Very comfortable, very private and clean. The kitchen is fully equipped and the grocery store is only 5 minutes away. The assistant Henry was so helpful with any questions we had via phone - the man can do it all!

An Unforgettable Stay

We couldn’t be happier with our decision to stay here! This home is an absolute gem—beautifully decorated, thoughtfully designed, and stocked with every amenity you could need.Tucked away at the end of a quiet road, it truly feels like a secluded jungle retreat (in the best way possible!). Yet, it’s still conveniently close to town, offering the perfect balance of privacy and accessibility.A special shoutout to Henry, the caretaker, who was absolutely phenomenal—friendly, helpful, and always there when we needed anything. His hospitality made our stay even more special.There may be other places to stay in Soufrière, but after this experience, we wouldn’t dream of coming back without booking this home again. A must-stay for anyone looking for a peaceful and unforgettable getaway!

Amazing stay!

We had an amazing stay at Nicole's place in Soufriere, St Lucia. The property is very generously sized and has been decorated very well. It is very equipped with everything you need for a family holiday. It's located on the outskirts of the worn, so you will need a car. It's very conveniently located from the attractions in the Soufiere region. We used this as a base to visit various places in Soufiere and the south. The road along the west coast up to Castries is very bad and is best avoided, till they finish the construction works. The road along the east coast is about 30-40 mins longer and is in a much better condition, should you need to drive up. Nicole and Maureen were excellent in their communications and very responsive. Thank you Nicole / Maureen for a lovely stay and wish you the very best!

Holiday far away from mass tourism

This was our first stay at the St. Lucia, but has already visited many countries in the world. ------ The house is very spacious, well equipped (TV, internet, furniture, kitchen accessories, air conditioning), the area around the object is not landscaped, there is no fence, no street lights. To be located on the edge of the village of Soufriere, which is the best place on the St. Lucia. It is necessary to rent a car. In the vicinity are the Pitons, all around the green slopes of the mountains covered with tropical vegetation, as in the jungle. The owner lives nearby, is very nice and involved, at any time helpful when a problem occurs. ------------- If someone is looking for a place to spend your vacation, this is one of the better deals in this price category, but in comparison with other regions of the world, St. Lucia is a place relatively expensive, it is worth to pay a bit more and relax away from mass tourism.

St Lucia - Villa - perfect for couples or families

My wife and I were in St.Lucia this past January visiting from Canada. We made our way to Soufriere, with no pre existing reservations. Through word of mouth we were taken to the Yellow Palm. We spent 5 days at the Villa and had a great time. It's spacious, clean and private. The gentlemen looking after us, Henry was very helpfull and gave us suggestions of places to visit while in Soufriere. Will definately rent again when we make a return visit!
