Felt very unwelcome from the moment I walked in. Mind you it was New Year’s Eve and I had children with me. I arrived and wasn’t really greeted. No welcome to Hampton how can I help you, etc. I told Jewlianne at the front desk who I was and I was here to check in, she say’s license and credit card, I felt like I was being pulled over by the cops and not checking into a hotel. Then she has a stack of rule sheets in front of me and slaps one down for me to sign, I felt very on edge like we better not make the slightest move or we would be “evicted” then I get on the elevator later to go to my room and they had posted the “rules” for New Year’s Eve there also. We weren’t there to party or do anything of the sorts we just wanted to do something different with our kids on New Year’s Eve and get them out of the house after being cooped up all winter break but the vibes were just so off and we felt so incredibly uncomfortable the whole stay like we had to walk on egg shells during our entire stay. After talking with other guests they were feeling the same way as well! The staff was even bragging in the lobby about their “evictions” for the night at one point when I was down their getting coffee. I Don’t know if I would visit this location again. Very uptight staff, uncomfortable and just not up to par with my prior stays.
