Rooms are decent; lobby level needs help

The lobby smells terribly of mold/mildew and all the furniture is pretty old. The laundry, while free which is AWESOME, is kinda yuck because the washer has black mold spots. The rooms are better in terms of feeling a bit fresher so they may just need to dehumidify the main floor. Housekeeping ladies were polite and helpful. The front desk attendants were the absolute pits. You had to almost be curt to tear them away from their cell phones (once the barkeep had to yell at a girl to pay attention to us). I get that it can be slow and you. A get wrapped up in scrolling, but a little more attentiveness would go a long way.

I reached out to the general/ property manager on 8/9/25 and he has not responded to my email yet. While I understand and have no major issues with the hotel other than the loud and heavy bathroom door and the incidental charges, I was not informed of them prior to my card being charged. It took me walking by to overhear another guest being informed of the charge and I checked my account to see I was charged this fee. The lack of communication caught me off guard, especially under the circumstances. I believe a brief explanation at check-in would have ensured transparency and avoided any confusion.

Most the holiday inn i go to are pretty nice just usually one bad thing and its that their pools are always to cold to swim in and this holiday Inn dont serve free breakfast but otherwise its a nice hotel close to all the shoppers you want..

This property used to be top notch. The staff is the best thing about this property. This property clearly has water damage issues. You could smell the mold when entering the lobby. One of the 4 rooms we were in had so much mold and condensation/humidity that the floor was slippery. I have respiratory problems and it made me sick! You could see the damage around the tubs and how they drained. I wouldn't stay there again
