Depressing

Creepy and depressing. The pictures don’t give an accurate feel for the rooms. Not bright at all. Gray and depressing. “Free breakfast” was one ticket per room (not guest) for a free breakfast at the restaurant next door. The lounge wasn’t open at all. Air conditioner in the room was obnoxiously loud. Room smelled like stale pot.

The staff were all super sweet, but the room and property had issues. There was blood on the pillow, makeup on the sheets (I don’t wear makeup), and bodily fluids on the curtain (confirmed with UV flashlight). The light in the “hallway” was broken. The gym and breakfast were both “off campus”. The door had to be pulled tightly several times to make sure it was closed and locked. Unlike other hotel doors, this one does not automatically shut itself when you let go, you have to physically push it until it clicks a few times. Not much quiet time, as the patrons are up and talking/yelling late at night. The bathroom door can’t open all the way, because it slams into the shower door. I had to put a towel in between the two doors so they wouldn’t keep bouncing off of each other. It sounded like I was knocking on the wall to my neighbor. So it was difficult to use the mirror in the bathroom, because I was pushed up against the door.

The photos are very misleading. If there was a lovely lounge like the one in the photo, I didn’t see it.This is not a hotel, it’s a motel, so I would say the name is misleading as well. Breakfast included is actually one 6 dollar credit at the restaurant next-door, per room, not per person. Yourroom is not cleaned unless you request it, which is a detail that was not mentioned so my room never got cleaned and I had to request new towels every night when I got back to my room and realized there was no service. The room itself was very small, which was fine. It was reasonably clean when we got there. We had to park in the lot across the street the first night because the spots at the motel fill up fast. Overall, I get that it’s low budget and you get what you pay for, but Expedia is not accurate and that’s inexcusable.
