True Blue is a nice family friendly resort. The staff is always pleasant and accommodating. I only have two small complaints: 1. Room service can be improved. I tried to order room service (dining) on a Wednesday night and got no response. I get the resort has a great food truck event on Wednesdays, but your resort members may not want to deal with the crowds. When I ordered room service the next night. The food was delivered in a shabby manner. 2. The room while clean had areas that were dated and could use updating/refresh.

True Blue has its positives and negatives. The rooms are very spacious, and the verandas are lovely overlooking the marina. There are multiple pools and a few bars. Breakfast is included and it's robust enough with cereals, yogurts, bagels, coffee, tea, and juice, and hot dishes such as swordfish excellent), beans, sausage, bacon, waffles, french toast, pancakes, and made to order omelettes on Sundays. I was disappointed in the service overall. Check-in time was 3 and my room wasn't ready until almost 5. I waited in the restaurant where is was difficult to be served or even given a menu. This wait happened three times. The front desk also didn't want to compensate for the late check-in time. An offer to compensate for dinner or allow a later checkout would have been fair. The shower in the room takes a few minutes to heat up to warm but not hot. Rooms are efficiencies, so you can buy food downtown and save a few dollars. My tour guide, Royan Smith of Bonanza Stables, was the highlight. I'm thankful for them connecting me with him. The resort offers twice daily trips to Grand Anse. They also have yoga and a spa on property. I didn't try either. Not enough time. I heard that the Wednesday live music at the Dodgy Dock is the place to be, but I left on Tuesday. Overall, for the price, I think you get your money's worth. It's a drive into town and not on the beach, but just enough luxury for people who want a quiet getaway with access to the city & island.

The property was beautiful and the staff was great. Everyone was gracious and helpful. My wife and I didn’t much like the food, except the breakfast was very good. We felt like we were very safe on the premises. They picked us up at the airport, but when we checked out, we had to get a taxi. It would have been nice if they took us back to the airport. Our accommodations were very nice and really liked our housekeeper.

Skip the place

The entire place has a negative atmosphere. The staff act as if they’re doing you a favor rather than providing service. The restaurant service is extremely slow—you’ll be left waiting just to place an order. There’s no warmth, no smiles, and no friendly approach. We ordered fajitas, and they were the worst we’ve ever had. Avoid this place at all costs. The location is decent, but if you value good service and friendly staff, you’re better off skipping this place.

Everything was really good. I love the staff and appreciate everything. My ONE MAJOR issue was the food. Not good at all. This has to be addressed. This is an island. Not one morning in my 5 mornings was there Grenadiab breakfast as a choice - every morning was American breakfast! This is a Caribbean island - we are only catering to white guests??? Major issue for me. Do better.

My kids and I spent 6 nights at True Blue and had a wonderful time. The staff are friendly and very helpful at arranging activities to explore the island. We loved listening to live music at the dodgy dock, exploring the bay with kayaks, swimming in the pools, doing yoga (amazing space and instructor) and lounging around the resort’s many comfy spaces.

This family-owned/operated resort is amazing…from the views, to the staff, the facilities, activities, and food…you feel instantly at peace and cared for. The staff was always available for a ride to town, the beaches, airport, etc… the true blue beach, at the end of the road, is a local gem of a spot, easy to walk to from the property and full of starfish, conch, and sea anemone. We will definitely head back again in the future!

Wifi isn't fast enough for stable streaming which was important to me. While front desk and auxiliary staff were pleasant. The dinning staff is either a hit or miss. From sometimes pleasant and engaging to sometimes downright disrespectful. I skipped free (limited) breakfast a couple times just to avoid being grumpily treated in the morning. Still don't know what that's about. As you can see in the other reviews there is definitely some training to be done regarding hospitality for a portion of the staff. It really takes away from the experience. Other challenges that exist that may concern a visitor: Flies. Can't leave your table if there is food on it. Flies land on the food being shared as well. Not sure if the problem is seasonal or islandwide... but it is problematic enough to mention. And having someone at the breakfast station at all time to ensure flies are not dancing on the sausages seems reasonable. Breakfast staff seems understaffed which may contribute to the general no smiles, low patience, grumpy attitudes. You're not allowed to take out your own food at the buffet but there is no one there to serve you for long periods as the person is making omelettes on another station - so you're standing there waiting and can't leave any food on your table and go and come (flies). Noisy construction works on the docks, entrance road. Beautiful views and great potential if these issues are alleviated.
