Hampton Inn-needs updating.

They messed up our check-in but finally figured it out, with no apologies. They put us on 3 different floors and we booked together. We had a light flickering that could cause you to go crazy, so we left it off. The bathroom had no ventilation and the ceiling was dripping from condensation. The light switch to the room was hidden by the bathroom door which also didn't seem to shut so no real privacy. This hotel needs a make over.

Thin walls, could hear loud neighbors very clearl

Thin walls, and we were in an adjoining room situation and the people in the next room were very loud late at night, shouting and talking loud and there were at least 5 of them and I didn't want to cause trouble so I didn't approach them, I figured the front desk wouldn't help so I didn't make a fuss.

Rooms were incredibly small. I had to pay a pet fee that I was not told by Expedia about. Room was so small hard to move around. Not very clean. It was a connecting room and I could hear everything next door. Very uncomfortable.

Just old and tired

This is an OLD Hampton Inn. No one was out and out rude to us, but when you walked past the front desk, housekeepers, food service people for breakfast, even janitor/maintenance type people and said hello, they'd just look at you like you were the rude one. No microwaves in rooms. Room was 2 queens and TINY. Can't turn room light on or off without closing bathroom sliding door. Everything is just old and run down and not dirty, but not clean. Phones in room didn't work. Advertised as having streaming TV service and movie channels, pay per view, etc none of the above was available. Slow Internet is free but fast internet is $5 a day. Half of the electrical outlets didn't work and none of the USB ports worked.

I have stayed at this Hampton Inn before and the reason(s) that I have repeated the experience is: Check in is easy and staff always seem to be available. Breakfast times are sensible, the dining area never seems over crowded and the food is good. Parking area is appropriate for the size of the Inn.

what went well- very friendly front desk staff! We slept very well, the room (other than the shower) was clean and comfortable. area of opportunity- we never recieved any housekeeping services, towels replaced etc. there was also hair in the shower when we checked in. I am not sure if we were supposed to request clean towels etc…. never had to do that before

We arrived with police standing at the front desk. Later in the trip the electricity went out and part of our group was stuck in the elevator. The hotel is falling apart and not clean.

I had to change rooms 3 times. The 1st room was beside an elevator and loud. Then I was moved to a room with queen beds, but I paid for a king-size. Then that room leaked water. I reported it twice. I was forced to the next day, and the room I was moved to had everything falling apart in the bedroom, and the lights had an electricity problem because it was blinking on and off. I showed housekeeping, and she said it was reported several times already, but she would report it again

I was very disappointed!! I reserved my room a day prior. The day of check in, they told me they didn't have any rooms available and that I have to check with Expedia for further instructions on how to cancel my stay. Such a big inconvenience!
