I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at the La Quinta Inn on July 20th to 21st. This was by far one of the most unpleasant hotel experiences I’ve had, and I feel that the money paid for this stay was completely unjustified based on the conditions and safety concerns encountered. The property did not resemble the photos presented on Expedia at all. The room was outdated and run-down, with no microwave provided, which I consider a basic amenity. I had to ask the front desk to heat up my food, which was extremely uncomfortable—especially late at night after driving over 10 hours. The bathroom light was dim, began flickering during my shower, and the fan was non-functional. Additionally, I found hair on the wall near the shower, which is unacceptable from a cleanliness and hygiene perspective. Most concerning, however, was the safety. While unpacking and again later when retrieving items from our car, homeless individuals approached us in the parking lot. This was particularly distressing as it was just two women traveling alone. We did not feel safe at this property, and there was no visible security presence or assurance from the staff.

The TV in the 1st room we had did’t work. This is the 2nd time that we had this room with the broken TV. We were here 3 weeks ago with the same problem. You would think the TV would be fixed by now.

This property has been remodeled and they did a pretty good job, but it’s still a very old hotel that is located in Stockton. There are a lot of homeless people camped around, but that’s not the hotel’s fault, that’s just how Stockton is. LIKES: The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Super great about accommodating pets. The room had a refrigerator and TV and shower and a lot of clean towels. All worked, but had to mess with the cord to get the fridge to work. There’s a Starbucks in walking distance. DISLIKES: Homeless Parking in poor condition Unprofessional staff Loud music in parking lot past midnight. AC/Fan didn’t work well

Condition of room was bad due to: dead roach in closet; gnats flying around in sink area and on hand towels; wet towel under air conditioner; yellow stains in the shower; and cigarette smell.

This hotel was one of the worst I’ve ever seen. The handle to the door of the room was broken, it looked like very sketchy people were living in that hotel. Very unsafe area and very unsafe feeling while staying there. There were roaches in the room and bathroom, the mattress felt like it cost $10 at the most. I would never ever recommend anyone stay at this property and the hotel chain should be ashamed to have this available to the public.

This place was not what I expected. It was a lot more run down than I thought it would be. It really needs some major updates. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The tubs are dingy and the safety lock on my room door was falling apart and definitely needs to be replaced.

Disappointed in my stay

The bed was good. I got the worst nights sleep ever sleeping in a hotel or inn. The Noise level was terrible. I had even requested a quiet room when I made the reservation. I tried to use the towel trick at the bottom of the door which did not work. Sadly the noise is a deal breaker for me. The bathroom is dated and in need of a really good cleaning. There was hair on, in the sink. Breakfast was ok with choices of eggs, various toast/ muffin. Waffles and cereals. Some fresh fruit and yogurt. Coffee too. The staff was always pleasant and professional.

Our window is broken the microwave was old and did not work. When I asked if it was possible to warm up my soup in the lobby I was told no. The phone in the room did not work they did not replace it they did not offer us another room. I asked for towels three different times and nobody brought them. The continental breakfast was far below average and the staff that was serving it was very inconsiderate and rude. This place should have paid me to stay there it's obvious they're doing some upgrades but to charge people over $100 for this dump is disrespectful

This place was filthy, it had lots of big dents in the metal doors, mold in the bathroom, dirty floors. The swimming pool was dark green and closed ( this was summer time) front desk couldn't even send someone with a vacuum over for a quick run over the nasty floors. The phone didn't work well and was so hard to hear and communicate because of that. It seemed as people were living at this location and not respectful at all. Loud music. Not family friendly at all.
