Great Hotel

Lovely little hotel. Great food. Very clean. Convenient and close to Alton Towers. Would definitely stay again.

Adequate accomodation

I was impressed with the price. On our first night the bathroom light failed. It was fixed very quickly whilst we were out and about. Fixtures and fittings and furniture could do with improvement. A good general update is needed as there was mold in the windows, stains on the settee. The bath seal needs replacing and the floor covering in the bathroom was not sealed down and was a bit bouncy so suspect water had got underneath at some point. The wooden furniture would benefit from an upgrade. The duvet cover was extensively torn, I would think laundry could easily repair. Laundry otherwise was very clean. The structure of the rooms is in need of soundproofing as sleeping wasn't easy if like us you had noisy and heavy footed neighbours.

The place is so convenient and I would stay again but I will say the downstairs had a constant smell of bins and mouldy fruit. My little son just had to constantly hold his nose. Not sure what’s going on. The staff are friendly but the business model isn’t for them to be on hand. Value for money though if you just want somewhere to sleep and well located for Alton towers with easy parking, then it ticks the box. Bed is comfortable also

Nice hotel, dated rooms but vetu comfortable. Staff were very pleasant, nothing was too much trouble for housekeeping. We would definitely return.

Accommodation was generally acceptable. Everything worked okay and beds sufficiently comfortable. The room decoration though could do with being freshened up (also dirty/moldy net curtains). The staff were helpful but reception is frequently not manned - there is a phone there, but not always quick to respond.

Reasonable price, half-hour drive from Alton Towers which wa fhe reason we were there. Staff were helpful enough, however the property has seen better days.

Checked in and paid but left within an hour. The building looked ‘tired’ and quite run down outside and reception area wasn’t great. Once we got to our room, neither my partner nor I wanted to stay. The room was awful. Dirty net curtains with mould on the bottoms and broken and coming off from the wire holding it up. All furniture very dated and in poor condition. TV looked well used and dated. Carpets didn’t look too clean and the bathroom was tiny. Old fittings and again, mould on the shower curtain. No drawers to store clothes or belongings in and to be honest, the photos on the website looked to be taken some while ago compared to what you actually see on arrival. Generally grubby and run down and we just couldn’t feel comfortable enough to stay. £137 for 2 nights paid but we left within an hour.

mostly positive stay at this hotel. Although parking was quite tight, I managed to find a space without too much trouble. Check-in was fast and efficient, and the room was clean, tidy, and free of any odours. The shower was a highlight—powerful with impressively hot water. My only real complaint is that the floors were extremely creaky throughout the building, which could be a bit distracting.

We stayed for 2 nights as it was close to Alton Towers. Hotel itself was quite dated and the bedside tables were ancient and well used but the hotel was really clean and the staff and service was fantastic, I would definitely stay here again x

Budget Hotel Stay

Overnight business stay. Hotel decor, rooms and bathrooms are looking and fell very dated. Generally clean, but should definitely be a budget price hotel.
