AWOL was a great experience! Room was very clean. We were arriving late and the staff was super accommodating to make sure we got into our room. Bartender was super sweet and made excellent drinks! Breakfast- try the rosemary bread! We will be back!

The hotel was in a great location within walking distance of everything, however the room itself was much smaller and not as shown in the photos… Still a decent sized room but don’t expect it to match photo. Additionally; there was a musty/mildew smell each day which when discussed, they quickly offered to bring in an ozone machine. While it fixed the smell, appears to be a common issue. Breakfast was great with a nice spread and plenty of options. For the price we paid which may have been been peak pricing in early October, not sure we would stay again due to room size/smells.

Breakfast was not good. Items were limited. My wife asked for boiled eggs and she got an attitude and half cold egg. There was no espresso coffee. Service was very limited at breakfast, staff rude and inattentive. Hallway to our room 279 was dirty with cobwebs, limited light. Stairs narrow. There is a big difference in entry to lower level units (much nicer) compared to upper units, for the same price!!!

We enjoyed our stay at AWOL Stowe. A special thank you to Valeria for making us feel so welcome. AWOL is located just a short drive (like 1 - 2 minutes) from restaurants in and around downtown Stowe. It was a great home-base. It's on the route to Smuggler's Notch and very near the Mt. Mansfield Toll Road (both things I recommend doing, especially the Toll Road. There's a hike at the top that is so worth it.). When you check-in at AWOL, you'll see the dining room (where breakfast is served) and plenty of seating for dining as well as relaxing. There's also a 24-hour, self-serve coffee and tea station. We stayed in room 151 facing the pond and A-frame cabins. It's a spacious suite with a large bedroom (with walk-in closet) and living area. The bathroom had a walk-in shower. There are several fire pits outside in the common areas, as well as a hot tub, a cold tub, and a sauna. We never saw these areas crowded and had plenty of time to enjoy all of them. Each morning there was a large "Toast Bar" for breakfast in the dining room. Fresh baked breads, hard-boiled eggs, prosciutto, fresh fruit, granola, greens, jams, and more.

Excellent location, the property was like a dream - beautifully designed and unique. Every corner was picture-worthy. The artisanal toast bar had some variety each day and the hot tub was excellent.

Pictures on website are not what the rooms look like. WiFi is going in and out , the room smells and hardly any water pressure. Don’t stay unless you have no other choice.

The breakfast was delicious. Location is great. The cabins are worth it. You have your own little tiny house with a view and access to all the amenities like the fire pit and jacuzzi.
