Perfectly Located Mountain Cabin with Breathtaking, Long Range Views!

Take a load off at Lazy Bear Cottage, a cute cabin nestled on the side of the mountain that will accommodate up to 6 guests! This privately owned two-bedroom, two-bath cabin offers stunning mountain views, central location and everything you need to call it home.

When you arrive, you will be greeted with warmth and a home full of custom furnishings, decorations and everything you may need for your perfect vacation. The inside is open and spacious will tall vaulted cathedral ceilings, plenty of windows for natural light and an open kitchen/dining/living room space in the front of the home. The living room is equipped with a queen sleeper sofa, flat screen tv with DISH satellite service and high-speed wireless internet service. The owner's suite has a king size bed and its own full bath. The secondary bedroom offers a queen size bed and its own bathroom that can be accessed from the bedroom or the hallway.

Love to entertain and cook? The fully stocked kitchen is ready for your expertise with plenty of space to easily seat your party. Outside you will find a huge wrap-around porch overlooking the woods on one side and the long-range mountain views on the other. Light up the grill or sit by the fire pit and enjoy doing a whole lot of nothing!

The cabin is just minutes from Dillsboro, Sylva and Franklin where you can find dining, over a half-dozen breweries, shopping, historic Main Street activities and festivals, rafting, hiking and so much more all within 15 or so minutes. Take a drive over to the Nantahala for some of the best whitewater rafting around, press your luck in Cherokee at the Harrahs Casino or shoot over to Maggie Valley for snow skiing in the winter, all a quick 30-35 minutes drive away! The cabin was great. Location made it easy for day trips. It was truly a home away from home for our trip. Well decorated and well stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed the fire pit and the supply of wood. Communication with host was exceptional. We will be back!

Great Mountain Getaway

This is a great property for a quiet stay in the mountains! Easy access to Sylva, Cullowhee, Franklin, Byrson City, and a fun drive up the parkway to get to Gatlinburg without getting on the interstate!Property was very clean and well stocked with cooking supplies, games/movies, linens and everything! Bed was very comfortable, A/C worked well and the ceiling fans were nice for sleeping. Wi-Fi worked well and there's soaps in the showers. If you're a coffee person they have a Kurig and some coffee pods already there. If you have a type you like, just bring your own pods.Great porch view to enjoy morning coffee...feels like its just you and the mountains!Part of the road to get to the property is unpaved but it is not as bad as some posts make it sound like. As long as you don't have a compact car you should be fine! Parts are steep, but once you do it the first time you know what to expect and its really not bad.

Great Place to Stay

The cabin was as advertised. Fit the needs of our 5 person family. Roomy and quiet. Host have thought of everything; DVDs, books, toys for kids. Beds/linens were very comfortable. Very convenient to Dillsboro, Cherokee and Bryson City. Would most definitely stay here again.

Great cabin in the mountains!

We really enjoyed our short stay at this cabin. It was just what we were looking for. The view was amazing and the interior was cute and cozy. The drive up the mountain was a little scarier than we realized it would be but we quickly got used to it. It was a great spot to stay while exploring the area.

Smoky Mountain Getaway

Beautiful home, very clean and everything you need for a getaway in the mountains. Fully stocked kitchen with extra appliances, washer and dryer. Comfy bed. Great wifi. Firepit with chairs and outdoor seating overlooking the mountains. Very quiet and private area. Only enough parking for 2 vehicles. We highly recommend.

Very nice property with great views. Location is easy to get to, but recommend a vehicle that isn't low to the ground, it may scrape in some spots on the way up the gravel road. Would definitely stay again.

Gorgeous Mountain Views

Great location, great views, great times. We’ve stayed at many vrbo rental cabins over the years. Some of which are a bit of a hike to get up to. This cabin was perfectly located and was not hard to get to either. There was always a little park next to creek right down the road. Which was perfect for two restless kiddos after a 12 hour road trip. The cabin was still cutely decorated for Christmas. The beds and pillows were comfy. The only thing we were little weary about was the dining chairs. They are not suitable for larger guests. Other than that- truly amazing time and amazing cabin! Thank you

It’s a cute cabin. Porch is very nice. It was good for a work trip and not having to pay for it myself. A bit scary last mile up the mountain buts that’s a personal problem lol. It could definitely benefit from having a facelift. No tvs in the bedrooms is a big bummer for us who go to sleep with one on. Hot water runs out very quickly so make sure to time out showers between people with extra time. Master bed is hard as the floor, master shower has poor water pressure and needs new sliding doors. Water pressure in 2nd bath is good. Bring paper towels as they were not supplied and if you want better than 1/2 ply toilet paper you may want to bring your own.
