It’s a great location for stay! Just two minutes towards the MTR station. Great for shopping too. Walking to Xiamen is just great cause it’s just across the street. Need to improve is the building. The interior is old and the shower floor tiles are cracked! Walls and carpet are dirty and damaged! Feel like it’s dusty everywhere!

Location is very good. Just cross a major road and it’s Ximending. Around the area has lots of good food n we had a different breakfast the whole 6 mornings. The rooms conditions are quite bad. On our 3rd morning we had to change room as wifi was virtually non existent. Our original room on 10th floor had no wifi, the sole pathetic hanging bar was dangling, bathroom door so stiff could barely close, the dirty shower head would not stay in place so had to hold onto it, and water flowed and wet the floor even when we tried standing further from the door. But it’s a small shower area. Ultimate straw was no wifi. Informed reception n staff told us to buy portable wifi. Ridiculous. Lucky another staff offered to change our room. We had wifi in the new room and bathroom door could close smoothly. Other problems remained. We got used to it. Hotel lobby is very impressive and nice. But rooms are dated. Fittings are lousy, carpets dirty. Oh the shower floor was cutting into my feet as it was stone cut into grids to prevent slippery. So unbearable till I bought a pair of slippers from 7-11 just for shower.

The hotel room has darker paint and dim lighting and was average in comfort and amenities however the carpet in the room and hallway were very stained and it looked like cleaner had been used in many spots unsuccessfully. Unfortunately when you see these obvious signs of distress, it leaves an uncertainty as to the level of cleanliness although there were not any other obvious signs.

Quick getaway

Perfect location, just across Ximending night market. 3 min walk to the train station. Less than an hour away from the airport. Breakfast buffet selection is good considering its price. Would definitely stay here when I go back next year.

The rooms were extremely small, not suitable for any other travelers if you are not a couple or the same sex as there wasn't a lot of privacy space (in the toilet and shower area). You can hear the drain pipes and water sound throughout the night so it was hard to sleep. Doors not very sound proof so you can hear everything and anything that goes on outside.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. There is no hot water from 10:00 PM to midnight every day. The elevators are insufficient as usual—every time they are packed, and if you have large luggage, you have to separate from your group. The shoes provided are of the cheapest possible quality. You will always find something left behind by previous guests in the room for sure. The cleaning is never done properly. The hallway carpet is as nasty as it can be—it seems like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. The soundproofing is horrible. At night, you can easily hear laughter from other rooms, as well as toilet flushing sounds. I understand that this hotel is located in one of the busiest areas of Taipei, but any foreigner passing by will see how dirty and poorly maintained it is, giving a bad impression of Taiwanese hospitality. However, this is not the reality of Taiwan. So…

It's the 2nd time we stayed here and noticed they have renovated the place and it looks brighter now. The bathroom don't have anything to hang towels and clothes. Overall room is ok. Like the location conveniently located near Ximending and Ximen station. But the most horrible experience was when I went to the common toilet on the ground floor near the restaurant, the toilet bowl was choked and filthy water was overflowed from the toilet bowl onto the floor.

Pros: 1) Great, nope...Excellent location! Less than a 5 minutes walk to Ximending. Plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, convenient stores, places to shop, foot massage shops all within 5-10 minutes walk. Metro station is 1 and 1/2 block from the hotel entrance. Exit #5 is closer to the hotel entrance but Exit #4 has escalator. 2) Room size is good, a lot of space to open your luggage. 3) Bed size is great, double/queen size. 4) Great hotel staff, super friendly...at least the ones I've encountered. Cons: 1) The property is outdated. 2) Furniture were old and had some wear and tears. 3) The rooms were not very clean. Dusts on the ceiling wall and air vents. Stains on the carpet & wallpapers, inside the room and hallways outside. 4) Bathroom stinks!! It might have something to do with old plumbing (or maybe the heat during the summer), but if you keep the bathroom door opened and the toilet seat covered, you can still smell the sewage when you're in bed. The smell comes and goes. You can also hear toilet flushing from the next room. 5) Walls are thin. You can hear the conversations/noise from next room. During my stay, there were guests running in the hallway, slamming their doors in the middle of the night. 6) Nothing to do with the hotel itself, but if you visit during the summer and you're out at night....prepare yourself to run...because there will be roaches (huge and flies), near the hotel entrance and the surrounding areas/streets. Great location but rooms need maintenance

Hotel rooms are very dated. First room I had started leaking water from the ceiling on the first morning I was there. Didn’t look like the first time it had happened as there seemed to be previous moisture issues in the same area and the room had a damp/mouldy smell. All bathrooms have dark growth on most of the silicone lines. Carpet throughout hotel is old and needs replacement. I was offered a minor upgrade in room due to the leaking inconvenience. Breakfast is good albeit busy and food sometimes cold.

Excellent location, very near (5 mins walk) to great shopping area, convenience stores, and MRT Station. Great breakfast buffet spread. Spacious rooms. I didn’t like the dirty hallway carpet, the noise from the toilet drainage/plumbing, and crowded breakfast dining area.
