There was even a 7Eleven inside the hotel, which was super convenient for grabbing snacks and water. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and spoke fluent English, making check-in and any questions I had super easy to navigate. My room was spacious, featuring a comfortable king bed, and it was impeccably clean. I also loved the nice large shower and bathroom – everything felt modern and fresh. The hotel’s restaurant was a highlight too! They offered a full buffet for both breakfast and dinner, and the food was delicious. I have stayed at Illume Taipei many times and I continue to come back whenever I need a place to stay in Taipei. The property is modern, clean and very welcoming. It is in a great area with easy transportation and close to various venues and shopping centres. Keep up the good work and I look forward to many more stays in the future.

The property is nice but that’s about it for what it is the service is terrible they can not follow basic instructions if you put do not disturb it mean do not disturb period why would you call the room asking about the clear sign that you provided that makes no sense then the house keepers come to the room and try to open the door WHEN IT SAYS DO NOT DISTURB like how hard is it to follow a basic instruction if someone does not want to be bothered then don’t bother them also it was a minor inconvenience but room service isn’t even available til 11:30

Quite dirty. Room linens were clearly not washed well. Also when I first came in the room, only one of the electrical outlets worked. They sent an engineer up to fix the problem and then it was fine, but I was shocked it was an issue at all. Bath mat had hair from either staff or the previous guest and hadn’t been cleaned.

Not worth the steep cost

This hotel is large and impressive, but has seen better days. Not particularly well located. The king size bed was actually 2 singles squished together. No water in the room - empty beaker, you have to make a pilgrimage to the remote and frustratingly slow water dispenser. The staff failed to explain key info - how to get to your room! The hotel is cavernous and there's insufficient signage. Breakfast is good and varied, but limited fruit options and no fresh juice.
