Rio Grande Gorge Bridge
The bridge is located 650 feet above the Rio Grande winding through the rough rock gorge on each side. The bridge was built in the cantilever truss style and is the second highest bridge of its construction in the country. Below, kayakers and river rafts pass, coming out of the famous 'Taos Box', a class IV rapids; above, hot air balloons soar.
