Carpet in room had quite a lot of dog hair on it, there was no mention when booking that dogs are allowed in all rooms. Reception staff and barman lovely as was the chef but the staff doing breakfast could do with a little more training

This is a welcoming place to stay with friendly attentive staff. The gardens and grounds of the hotel are attractive and afford a pleasant walk down to the beach and Teignmouth town centre. It was useful to enjoy a tasty meal on the first night of my stay and the buffet breakfast was generally good although it can be busy at times. Overall the stay was pretty good value for money with the room and facilities being spacious and warm.

We have stayed here before and always had a great stay. Easy free parking and easy to get to the town and beach through the beautiful gardens. Our room was spacious and very comfortable with a lovely window area to sit at and enjoy the view. Bed was very comfortable and plenty storage space if you were staying a while. Evening meal was very tasty as was the breakfast. Bar was well stocked and reasonably priced for a hotel. Will definitely return.

A comfortable traditional hotel set in beautiful grounds. Easy walking distance to the centre of Teignmouth town and beach.Friendly helpful staff. We were allowed to park after checking out for the rest of the day so we can explore the town. Having breakfast included was an extra bonus. Comfortable bed and clean room.

Beautiful place, fabulous gardens, great staff.

Great breakfast, plenty of it, no wokery, nice quality, good taste very enjoyable. 5 stars. Friendly staff everywhere, including front desk management, restaurant and garden staff. The gardens are worth the stay on their own. Cliffden is a reassuringly traditional hotel, with lovely views and a wonderful welcome. Nothing too much trouble. Thank you.

Everything was very good. The staff were very polite and efficient , the room was large and clean. The swimming pool was superb. The location is super and gardens are beautiful. Plenty of parking only a few steps from the main entrance.

Room was clean, good view of sea. However, there was a hole in the bed sheet, also no pressure in shower water. Parking was fine, staff were friendly. WI-FI was good too. Very nice swimming pool, grounds were great & very near to beach walking through gardens. Definitely would stay again.
