Very depressing

During my trip the elevator broke. My fiancé and I were stuck for over 35 minutes. The fire department had to save us. What was worse… NOBODY from the hotel had any concerns for us. I had to call to see about compensation. Long story short I had to fight for compensation. Hotels.com hung up on me 3 times. And still have not got compensation correct. Trying to tell me I have to pay Half out of my pocket then get full compensation… smh

Things you might want to know before buying a room

I agree that the location of this hotel is great, in that you can walk to the shops and restaurants in Old Town Temecula. Other than that, the price you pay for the conditions of the hotel is terrible! The hotel is definitely dated. First and foremost, you cannot drink the water from the sink or shower. It definitely smells and when I asked management about the water, she told me to not drink it and buy bottled water instead. I encountered another hotel guest also commenting about the nasty water and he, too, was going to purchase bottled water. There is no “sound proofing” from the hallway and you could hear everyone’s conversations throughout the night. Keep in mind that this hotel is generally sold out on Saturdays and as I was going up to the third floor, it sounded like there were parties going on throughout the entire hotel, as well as people walking into town to party. I had a difficult time finding a parking spot Saturday night, because the hotel’s parking lot is limited. I had to park out on the street. Please note that the seating area for breakfast is located in the lobby and very limited. The front desk where you check in is the same place where the tables are for breakfast. The lobby/eating area had a bad smell, possibly due to laundry room being in the same area/behind wall to the lobby?? Breakfast options were very limited (due to limited space) and unappealing. Buyer beware!

Downtown Temecula is an amazing little western style town with great shopping bars, and restaurants . All of that is not even a five minute walk from the hotel and does not require any crossing of major intersections… Does it sound like much but the walk from all of the other quality hotels to downtown is longer and requires crossing six lanes of traffic. The rooms here are large modern and clean, and there is no charge for parking currently whereas other local hotels do charge for parking in addition to your regular room rate.
