Our room overlooking the beach was OK. Shower could do with a good clean. There were a number of areas that need updating. Staff were very accommodating although breakfast was sometimes a bit chaotic as tables were not reset for more guests arriving. It is very much a corporate hotel with business events sometimes taking over areas of the hotel. On our last day the sunbed area by the beach was very restricted particularly in the afternoon for a corporate event later. Having a metal stake hammered into the ground about 5 feet from my sunbed did not create the relaxing vibe I expected!! I have alerted the hotel to my concerns but have yet to have a response.

This is the most beautiful propery I have ever stayed at. The food is really wonderful. It is administrated very badly. We had a couple of terrible things happen to us. Our room had a 'Do not Disturb' sign on it. The butler came and knocked on the door three times in a matter of 30 seconds and entered the room thus compromising our privacy. We were in Club Rooms and paid a premium for these rooms. On our last evening there, they had blasting music playing on loud speakers right from 6.00pm to 10.30pm. It was really loud and our whole evening was disturbed. I complained and asked to speak to the Manager on Duty but he was not willing to speak with me. I feel that I should receive a refund for one night.

Property is beautiful, neat and clean. Staff is courteous. Love the location & the views. However service was slow. By the time food got to the table it was cold most of the time. Took long time to get food ordered and sometimes it never came. Took long to get the check also. Food taste also was not so good. Their room keycards still get deactivated if they are kept next to phone which was annoying.

Very beautiful hotel. Sprawling. With gorgeous views and a great design/architecture, where the rooms are below the reception level, dug into a cliff so the rooms have ocean view. Extremely attentive and polite and helpful staff. 5 stars for the staff and the hotel property. 3 stars for the food. If you are foreigner visiting or residing in India and want to experience life abroad for a weekend, you will likely enjoy the food. But, as a South Indian living abroad, I found the food lacking in authenticity. And, given the property is so big, it is not easy to walk to local restaurants, so you are a bit stuck. Same goes for airport taxi. 6x of what Uber costs is a bit much.

Excellent Family Stay with Commendable Service & Breakfast! My family (4 adults and 2 kids) recently enjoyed a wonderful two-night stay at The Leela Trivandrum in two Premier Sea View rooms. Overall, it was a fantastic experience—everyone loved the stay and the food. The breakfast, in particular, was a highlight. The quality and variety were truly commendable. A special mention must go to the chef for the outstanding millet dosa, which became a family favorite! While the rooms had a slightly older feel, they offered a lovely ambiance with thoughtful furnishings, thermostat-controlled ACs, and a very spacious balcony. The balcony was perfect for relaxing, reading, or enjoying a coffee. We must thank Sunitha from housekeeping for maintaining our rooms so impeccably. The only minor drawbacks were some sporadic mosquitoes on the balcony during mornings and evenings and a missed opportunity for coconut water at the beach (though portable water was available). What truly made our stay exceptional was the service. It was excellent across the board. All the staff were highly courteous and professional. We'd like to give special thanks to Sushmita, Neethi1, and Neethi2 at the front desk for their warmth and efficiency, making us feel welcome from start to finish. I highly recommend The Leela Trivandrum for a relaxing family getaway!
