An ideal vacation home for the WHOLE family! Step inside this Truckee cabin and know you have found a delightful base to explore all the area has to offer. With its fantastic location, welcoming floor plan, Hawks Nest is about experiencing the fun and excitement of Truckee/Tahoe!

Walking distance to dining, shopping, grocery stores, entertainment, and only 5.3 miles from Historic Downtown Truckee. This neighborhood is truly a hidden gem, and offers something for everyone in your group.

Come in from a day exploring and enjoy 2,500sq ft of rustic living space. This cabin has been lovingly renovated and features hand-crafted accent pieces and locally up-cycled woods. The home is set up for 12 guests with max 8 adults.

For those who love to cook, you'll delight in the inviting kitchen equipped with cooking essentials. In addition to pots and pans you have a rice cooker, wok, serving bowls, plus ample storage containers for the leftovers. Enjoy meals together around the picnic bench dining room table - truly a wonderful space to share stories and connect.

On the first floor, along with the kitchen and living area are a master bedroom with king bed and private full bath, 2nd bedroom with king bed, full bath with bathtub and double sinks, large entryway, and a separate office/game room.

On the second floor you'll find another mater bedroom with private full bath, large office space with futon, and a large bonus room designed for kids. In the bonus room you will find a queen bed, floor mattress, and twin trundle bed. Plus there is a TV with Amazon Firestick, dvd player, Nintendo Wii, and a cabinet full of board games and puzzles.

Step outside and enjoy a spacious backyard that is fully fenced. This cabin sits on a 1/3 acre and offers plenty of room to get out play in the yard. Yard games and a dirt area with trucks for the little ones. Plus there are THREE outdoor patio areas with sitting/dining areas. Grill and chill with a BBQ, Traeger Smoker, and German beer table on the main patio. Sit under the stars and enjoy a glass of wine in the backyard patio. Or lounge in the sun and enjoy a book from the front yard patio. So many options!

Worried about parking multiple cars? Not a problem at Hawks Nest! The long driveway comfortably has room for 6 cars.

Drive for 5 miles and you'll be in downtown Truckee, where scores of entertainment, restaurants and shopping await. Feeling adventurous? Truckee makes for a great getaway for outdoorsy travelers thanks to its easy access to the ski slopes of nearby Northstar, Palisades (Formerly Squaw Valley), Alpine, Boreal, Sugar Bowl, Donner Ski Ranch, Diamond Peak, Mt. Rose, and Homewood.

We created this cabin as a place for friends and family to connect, and explore Tahoe. We hope you will share many memories while you relax and reconnect with nature in this beautiful mountain setting!

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING BEFORE BOOKING:

*There is a plow service that clears snow from the driveway during storms. They come in the morning (conditions permitting). Please remember, you're visiting a high altitude mountain region and during big storms you can face power outages and heavy traffic.
We provide some supplies at the cabin and you can walk to grocery stores, but please plan ahead and travel safely during storms.

*We have loving renovated this cabin and DO NOT allow parties of any kind or size, no exceptions. This home is ideally set up for multi-generation families and small groups of friends.

* We are committed to following extremely strict COVID cleaning protocol. This includes, but is not limited to deep cleaning of every surface, rooms being throughly ventilated between bookings, government-approved virus-killing cleaning agents used, all linens being washed in between bookings.

* This is a non smoking property

*This property is properly registered with the Town of Truckee, and rates include the Town of Truckee tourism tax.
