For our first time at Tybee Island, this location was magnificent. From the third floor balcony, you can see the ocean and is a one block walk to 18th St. beach entry. The check-in process was super easy with the email instructions on how to enter the code to unlock the door and gain access to the property. You are greeted with a spacious kitchen and after searching around…a good coffee machine, a toaster for bagels and toast, Electric gas stove for cooking and a large refrigerator. One thing not noted in the listing is there is a gas grill outside for barbecue and so we did hotdogs and hamburgers one night which was very fun! Air conditioner works great! The downside is, the exterior needs refreshed and repainted, and does show signs of being a 30-year-old home. Some things didn’t work, such as the microwave light and the conditioner pump in the master bathroom shower, and some of the drains were slow, but these were all reported to the property manager, and they said that they would fix them.This property was on a one-way street so there really wasn’t a crazy amount of road noise, and could truly enjoy hearing the crickets. I learned that Tybee is a very bike friendly town and so we enjoyed several bike rides from the location up to the lighthouse which is about a 15 minute bike ride. We’re about 3 1/2 miles. Bring your bikes and bring your beach chairs and enjoy your stay a stone throw away from the beach. I will definitely be coming back.
