I had a good time and enjoyed some good sea food. Overall, I liked Hotel Tyber. It was a great location. The room was spacious enough. The staff was friendly and helpful. I did have several disappointments. The room did not have enough outlets, and unlike other hotels did not have extra mobile device charging ports, line in the lamps or clock. The Wi-fi was spotty. The door to the terrace was hard to open.

The bathroom sink would not drain the whole time we was at the hotel which was 3 days and 2 nights. We also had to pay $128 to park in the hotel we had already paid to stay in. You should not have to pay to park especially if you are handicapped. I had to pay the parking fee even though I had a handicapped placard. I don’t have any plans to come back to Tybee Island, GA.

We enjoyed our stay overall. The only issues we had were the mini fridge leaking and taking about a day and a half to finally cool down like it had been unplugged in between guests. Also the dehumidifier was very loud. The shower drained very slow. We enjoyed the view from the balcony and the closenes to the beach.

Check In was easy, but slow. The room was awful. Very dirty and nasty. There was hair all over the bathroom and the side of the beds were filthy. Was not satisfied at all with this place. ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE!!!

The location is perfect! We also liked the easy parking situation. They supplied beach towels and chairs which was awesome. It says Wi-Fi is available but do not rely on there being wifi. Could not even watch tv at night. It didn’t bother me but just a warning. The entire hallway on our side of the floor flooded during our stay due to a broken AC unit. It smelled awful for a couple of days! The front desk brushed it off. We tried the hotel this year, but going back to a bed and breakfast or something small like we normally do on Tybee. I’d recommend that.

Cleaning of the rooms were definitely an issue. We changed rooms 3 times due to stains on sheets, hair in bathroom and various other cleanliness issues. Staff was polite and tried several times to rectify the issue - but it was a pattern and we moved on.

The floor in our room was dirty the bottom of our feet were black from walking barefoot inside the room. Empty beer cans were left on the balcony. The Tiki Bar at the pool wasn't open. Overall cleanliness of the hotel needs to improve. Parking lot included. Very disappointing because this was our first stay and was looking forward to sitting poolside and having the bar conveniently there. Doubt we'll be staying there again.

Room was not as described in the pictures. Got too rooms that were next to each other and was not given that. Had to pay $80 extra for destination fee, which was not described in the booking. The booking said that all fees and other taxes were made at checkout. The bathrooms and room was not clean and sanitary. Will not go back to this hotel in Typee Island.

Expedia messed up our reservation and the hotel showed it as cancelled. This happened after changing the reservation from a king to two queens. Both reservations were made and cancelled. They gave us another room with a view of the parking lot, best they could do. I recommend always calling and checking your reservation even it if shows it is fine on the expedia app.

Our room was quite dirty. Clothes were left in the dresser. A moldy cup as shoved between the mattress and headboard. The motel seems rather run down and in need of repairs.
