Naturally, you explore the area here from the water. You can hire a boat, a canoe or a windsurfboard in the immediate vicinity. The surroundings, which consist of water, dykes, windmills and dunes, are also great to explore by bike. Along the way, you snack on herring, have a kibble or a croquette sandwich at one of the many outdoor cafés. We also definitely recommend a visit to beautiful Alkmaar. Alkmaar is famous for its cheese market, order a cheeseboard and glass of heineken somewhere and appreciate the Netherlands.
