My experience with customer service was very poor. I was given mixed messages and then unclear explanations about where to come to check in and how to get to the parking lot. I called 3 times because the first 2 didn't make sense. I was never able to get the front desk manager to answer the phone to give me the correct answer to my questions. although I called many times. But the app WAZE fortunately brought me to the 15 min. parking area, at the hotel to check in. There is construction around the hotel, so that should have made the customer service people more attentive. It was very stressful until we were finally parked and in our room. Then, when I went to have a shower there was a long dark hair in the bathtub as well as one stuck in what I thought was a clean folded face cloth. The only saving thing was that it was right across the street from the Queen Elizabeth Theatre where we were taking our grandsons to see The Lion King, which was spectacular. So not a pleasant experience. And now I just noticed that you have the date wrong. We stayed over on Wed. August 27 to Thurs. August 28. So much is just WRONG.

I inquired about parking before arriving and was told not a problem and enter from Beatty st. Guess what Beatty was closed and the park l and the parking area was under construction with very limited room to move. Our room had used soaps. The restaurant was very slow in the morning and the food was sub par.

The Sandman is a very convenient location for our stay as it was across the street from the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. It is also within walking distance to so many downtown locations. The only part we didn't like about our stay was the size of the room, which was probably the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. But we weren't in it for most of the stay. Though we did not eat at the hotel, there was both a Shark Club and a Moxies within the hotel.

The property location perfect. The room itself was fine for our needs of a place to sleep for one night. There was really no room to set up our suitcase for easy access for a longer stat area to hang dresses was quite compromised. There was no hair conditioner to accompany shampoo. We requested some and were given lotion. No pen or paper available. Carpet at foot of bed quite wet we let staff know and they offered to try and fix it or move us. We chose stay. Bar soap for shower useless. Place was very clean and staff wonderful.

Rooms were nice. Pool was cold and often very wet around the pool which was hazardous. Hot tub was nice though. Moxies was very good. Check in was easy and staff was very friendly. Parkade was a mess, loud with construction, rebar and holes everywhere. Men with full masks doing construction- awful chemical smell. Parking is $25 a day which is a bit steep for guests IMO.

This hotel is so close to all great entertainment options in the city which is why we chose it. In order to get an early check in, there was a fee. Same if a late check out was requested. We were able to drop our bags and go explore the city, that was helpful. The room had two queen beds which was what we requested and the room also had massive beautiful windows that wrapped around the room. This gave great city views. However the cushion on one of the chairs shifted and it was clear that no one had vacuumed or cleaned under it in quite some time. There were also crumbs and other indications of little cleaning on the floor and under the desk opening, shelves, and under the headboards of the bed. The elevators were challenging as by the time they got to our floor (9th) they were always full. We ended up taking the stairs down after three full elevators passed us. Walking is fine, just would have been good to know the hotel only has those two small elevators. Considering the cost of one night in this hotel, I did expect the room to be tidier. The front desk staff were great, the restaurant was great and the staff were helpful in making sure we got to our event in plenty of time. I would stay here again and ensure I requested the room definitely be checked for cleanliness more thoroughly.

The Sandman met our needs; clean with efficient staff and a very cozy bed. We did feel though that as the hotel was very busy, there should have been a concierge desk to help the many guests.

Liked everything. The only complaint that I have would be; 1- the air conditioning is in an weird place. you have a desk right infront of it blocking almost half of the unit making it harder for the room to become cooler faster. 2- you should really think about having soap dispensers in the showers. those tinny bottles are pointless and not environmentally good. i need like 3 bottles of shampoo just to do my hair once becasue its long.
