We stayed at the Seaside Hotel for one night during a work event, and while the staff were genuinely lovely and tried their best, the room itself had several issues that made the stay disappointing.
When we returned from working all day, the shower water was either freezing cold or suddenly scalding hot without touching the faucet. Someone came up right away and explained that we needed to turn on the sink faucets to regulate the shower temperature, which felt very odd. The next morning, the water took so long to heat up that we had to leave before we could even use it. The in-room steamer and coffee machine also never heated up.
The lighting in the room was very minimal, making it surprisingly hard to see or pack our things. The next day when we asked to store our bags for the day, we were told they’d be held inside. When we returned for them we were brought someone else's bags and then there was confusion where our bags were. Turned out they had been left in our car in the parking, something we had specifically asked them not to do for safely.
They did comp our parking and offered an upgrade for next time, which we appreciated, but for a $260 room, the experience didn’t meet expectations. Unfortunately, I don’t think we’d stay again.
