Reception unbelievably unfriendly, unwelcoming. Room broken. Bedlights not working, stained towels, no room service (stayed 2 nights). Basics non-existent: eg no hair conditioner. Had to request coffee cups etc

Hi There - I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my concerns regarding the recent issues encountered during our stay at the Travel Inn Hotel in Victoria booked through Expedia as part of our Vancouver and Victoria trip. While the overall trip, including car rental and flights, was well-organized, our experience at this hotel was disappointing and below expectations Below are the specific issues we faced, with supporting photographs already shared and attached again for your reference: Mold and Odor: The room's ceiling had visible mold patches, emitting a pungent odor that was concerning for health, especially with small children present. Unhygienic Bathroom: The bathroom appeared unclean, with dirt marks on the tub and an unflushed toilet, suggesting it had not been maintained properly. Lack of Essentials: There were no tissues provided, as evidenced by the empty box in the attached images. Faulty Air Conditioning: The AC unit was not functioning properly, and the moisture buildup behind it raised safety concerns regarding potential electrical hazards. Security Concerns: The balcony door lacked a lock, posing a security risk, especially as our room was adjacent to another balcony, making it easy for unauthorized access. Poor Linen Quality: The bedding was in poor condition, with a noticeable hole in the mattress, raising concerns about hygiene and potential bed bugs.

I stay at this hotel every time I come to Victoria. It's the absolute best value in the city! The location is almost unbeatable...bus stop close by and downtown just seconds away. The rooms are basic but safe, very clean and the staff are always around to help! Highly recommend!
