Fairly worn out building and interior with inaccessible rooms for those with mobility issues AND pets. Room sufficed for the price and the bedding was very clean and fresh. There’s a nice accessible entryway and lobby elevators to parking lot or upper floors Breakfast is the standard fare of coffee, eggs, etc. Small groupings of stairs to get to the dining area. Back exterior area of the building is under construction. We loved the location being right downtown and very walkable. Bonus that it comes with covered parking.

After a very long and stressful trip to Victoria, arriving at the Huntingdon was a relief. We were upgraded to a room that suited us well. The staff was one of the most efficient, welcoming and pleasant I have encountered in years. Bravo to the excellent staff! The location is perfect in that it was not far from the harbor, but on a mostly quiet road. We will definitely be staying here again.

This is our second time staying at the hotel. We like to book the loft suite for the full size kitchen and extra space. The pillows and bed are very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower is the best out of any hotel I’ve stayed at. Some nice touches like modern mirror in the bathroom and anti-slip mat for the shower are also appreciated. The free breakfast is basic, nothing extravagant but a free meal is always welcome when travelling can be expensive. Location is amazing and secure underground parking is also another reason why we stay here. My husband and I found it funny that the vending machine that was broken on our last visit, was still not working but all in all, not a deal breaker lol we will return to this hotel every time we visit Victoria

Ideal location within James Bay

Perfect place to stay within walking distance of the Clipper ferry. Older hotel with large rooms, a bit dated. Ours had a small kitchen, as well as harbor views. Nice breakfast in a lovely room with lots of windows overlooking the harbor. There are ~10 steps up and down from the lobby to the breakfast area for those with mobility concerns. Easy walk to Fisherman's Wharf, govermnent buildings, and museums, as well as Empress Hotel and shops.

The front desk staff were not very friendly and seems like they gave us the worst room in the building. There were 4 women in my group and they gave us the room right on the street where everyone could look in. The male at the front desk seemed surly and we were afraid to ask for anything. The service lacked the old world charm we were expecting. Room was old and kind of beat up. I'm guessing if you don't book the more expensive rooms, you get what's left.
