Mt Vernon Villa has retained its historic charm through thoughtful modern touches and is classically designed along a North/South axis with spacious rooms and high ceilings. You will love the variety of spaces around this luxury holiday home in Hawke’s Bay, with a number of lounge areas to enjoy. The main floor has the grand sitting room, complete with a wonderful grand piano (for those who like a little tinkle), and opens out onto a long verandah. The Study, which has over 2000 books with many dating back to the 1800s, is a nice intimate room and an ideal space for some reading or peaceful reflection. There is also a day lounge which opens to the courtyard and can be used for catching up on your latest Netflix show or game nights. We really love the tranquil upstairs lounge which faces West with plenty of sunlight and offers the perfect space for some afternoon zen time.

For the foodies, the well-equipped modern kitchen connects to the dining room, which is the perfect spot to come together for a great meal, and also to the courtyard and long verandah, making entertaining easy and sociable. Make the most of the warm Hawke’s Bay summer days with a BBQ or al fresco dining out in the grand courtyard, and wind down from dinner with a stroll around the beautiful grounds.
