It was my son’s birthday sleepover party. The staff could not get me forks or anything to cut the cake with. One person answered the phone and said they could send it up but then another told me they could not. Next they said they cannot give utensils out as it was against rules but room service was able to give it out… the issue was room service was closed at 3 PM in the day.
Also called for drinks at 9:58 pm… was transferred to the kitchen. They did not pick up. Was put on hold and told they would come back and take my order. Several minutes later was told the kitchen was closed and sorry but I would need to come downstairs to the lobby if I wanted something to drink.
Went for breakfast and was telling the hostess or woman managing breakfast that they were in need of more coffee as it had run out… she said nothing in reply. Just looked at me then nodded as if to say “whatever”. When I said it again and looked for an answer she sai “fine”. I said “I’m sorry” as if to say what does that mean. She replied “Okay” with an attitude.
The boys had a wonderful time. Kids are resilient. Also the cleaning staff was amazing. The decor is old but the cleanliness makes the space tolerable.
I would not book again at this location. Customer service should be improved upon. I expected a Hilton experience but was met with minimal standards being offered.
I have visited Hilton’s in Silver Spring, MD and received remarkable service.
This visit was disappointing to say the least.
