Hotel Review – Extremely Disappointed by the Lack of Communication and Guest Welfare
I stayed at The Warwickshire Hotel and Country Club for two nights while travelling for business.
Check in was smooth and the accommodation initially appeared excellent.
However, the stay quickly deteriorated due to repeated power outages and, more importantly, the hotel’s complete lack of communication or concern for its overnight guests.
The first outage occurred during the night, from around 4:00am to 6:30am.
While I understand that unexpected issues can happen, no information or reassurance was provided.
The following afternoon, after returning to my room, I experienced yet another outage lasting roughly an hour.
Being daytime, this was manageable but still concerning.
Later that evening, the situation became unacceptable. From 18:00 until my departure at 7:00am the next morning, the hotel was without power—aside from a brief return around 20:30 that lasted less than an hour.
My room was left in complete darkness, with no running water due to the electric pump system. I was unable to wash or access even the most basic amenities one would reasonably expect from a hotel, let alone a resort of this standard.
What made the experience significantly worse was the total absence of communication from staff. No welfare checks, no updates, no offer of drinking water, and no gesture of goodwill. Guests were simply left to cope on their own.
