I was expecting a deluxe room in a 4 star hotel, what I got was a below standard room in need of upgrading. No instructions given by reception staff on check in, just signed paper and was given room keys, once in the "deluxe" room I felt let down, the toilet seat was loose, dirty grouting in the shower, we paid for breakfast and that was a joke, no hot food, no plates no glasses, I will not be returning

Very functional and comfortable however, getting tatty in the bedrooms. A shared location with the sports centre - as an EV driver it was very frustrating to see the many charger spaces all taken with non-EVs. I had to go out after the sports centre closed to move onto a charger. Police this better please.

Breakfast was a let down. Buffet style but looked like it had been left out for a while. Coffee from a machine only, which was awful. Very little gluten free options and no signage for allergens. Was not informed when checking in about the barrier code so when I tried to leave was locked in and took ages for someone to let me out. Room was freezing. Took ages to warm up. Only 1 sugar available for hot drinks in room, really skimped on tea/coffee too. It’s not giving luxury.

It was okay. We’ve stayed here before for work so booked again as the location was ideal. Our room smelt horrendous the whole time. I think there was something wrong with the drains as I heard another family mention that there was something wrong with their toilets overflowing. The stench was pretty bad however, we were literally only just the room to sleep in and with the bathroom door closed the smell stayed in the bathroom. Also could not work out how to turn the bathroom fan off. Not sure if it was just us but it’s pretty loud and pretty annoying at night! The bar/restaurant is definitely overpriced for the standard. We got 2 burgers and 2 alcoholic drinks and it cost us £51. Breakfast is your standard buffet breakfast, eggs cooked to order (we didn’t do this but was an option). Everything you could want was on offer including an extensive gluten free section. There was a lovely man who worked on breakfast both mornings, his customer service was excellent and real credit to the team. We got the vibe that he may have been new to the team, but what a fantastic addition! Much friendlier then the check in girls. Overall, our stay was average. Would we stay again, yes probably, but I’ll be checking if there are any plumbing issues before I unpack!

Hotel Review – Extremely Disappointed by the Lack of Communication and Guest Welfare I stayed at The Warwickshire Hotel and Country Club for two nights while travelling for business. Check in was smooth and the accommodation initially appeared excellent. However, the stay quickly deteriorated due to repeated power outages and, more importantly, the hotel’s complete lack of communication or concern for its overnight guests. The first outage occurred during the night, from around 4:00am to 6:30am. While I understand that unexpected issues can happen, no information or reassurance was provided. The following afternoon, after returning to my room, I experienced yet another outage lasting roughly an hour. Being daytime, this was manageable but still concerning. Later that evening, the situation became unacceptable. From 18:00 until my departure at 7:00am the next morning, the hotel was without power—aside from a brief return around 20:30 that lasted less than an hour. My room was left in complete darkness, with no running water due to the electric pump system. I was unable to wash or access even the most basic amenities one would reasonably expect from a hotel, let alone a resort of this standard. What made the experience significantly worse was the total absence of communication from staff. No welfare checks, no updates, no offer of drinking water, and no gesture of goodwill. Guests were simply left to cope on their own. To add to the disappointment, when I checked out,

The room was very clean and tidy. If we wanted extra teas, coffees or milk only had to ask. All the staff were approachable and very friendly. Perfect mid-point in our journey from Preston to Ringwood and our 5 night stay allowed us to visit local areas of interest including Warwick Castle, Leamington Spa and Stratford. We'll certainly be staying at the Warwickshire again.
