Bayfield Migizi Landings Lake Superior Shore Home

Migizi Landings sijaitsee Bayfieldin ja Washburnin vÀlissÀ Superior -jÀrven hiekkarannoilla. Opit nopeasti, miksi tÀmÀ koti on niin erityinen perheellemme.

Migizi Landings on lyhyen ajomatkan pÀÀssÀ kaikesta, mitÀ Bayfield County tarjoaa. ErittÀin kÀtevÀ paikka niille, jotka lomalla, vaelluksella, kanootilla, kajakilla, hiihdolla, ATV: llÀ kÀyvÀt Bayfield Apple Festivalilla ja osallistuvat Big Top Chautauqua -tapahtumiin.

Monet ovat kertoneet meille, ettÀ saapuessaanan he eivÀt koskaan halua poistua kotoa. Paikalliset kÀsityölÀiset rakensivat nelikerroksisen puurunkoisen kodin vuonna 2001. Monet suuret puupalkit otettiin talteen alueen rakennuksista. Kuten Skandinavian koteissa, jotka ovat seisoneet vuosisatojen ajan, Migizi Landingsin superrakenteessa ei kÀytetÀ metallia. Kolme neljÀsosaa oleva kÀÀrekansi ulottuu takaosaan, josta on nÀkymÀt Superior -jÀrvelle, Madelineen ja Long Islandille. Suuressa huoneessa oleva pidennetty ruokapöytÀ mahtuu suuriin kokoontumisiin. MittatilaustyönÀ tehdyt huonekalut ja taide tÀyttÀvÀt matkustamon ja tekevÀt siitÀ kodin kaikille vierailijoille.

Nimetimme kotisi Migizi Landings Ojibwan intialaisesta (Lake Superior Band) nimestÀ, joka tarkoittaa kalju kotkaa. PÀivÀnÀ, kun ostimme kodin vuonna 2009, pari kalju kotkia laskeutui puuhun kiinteistön nurkkaan katseleen Superior-jÀrveÀ. Jokaisella vierailulla, koska nÀemme heitÀ useita kertoja pÀivÀssÀ. HeidÀn pesÀnsÀ on jÀrvellÀ puolen mailin pÀÀssÀ kodistamme. Hirvet, kettu, kuikot, paalutetut tikat ja paljon muuta ovat kokenut vierailulla.

JÀlkihuollon jÀlkeinen siivousmaksu otetaan vakuudesta. Se on tyypillisesti 150-175 dollaria, mutta se on ollut korkeampi, kun hytti tarvitsee enemmÀn vierailun jÀlkeistÀ huomiota.

Our favorite part of the cabin was the beach area. We did a fire on the beach every night. They have plenty of wood stocked. The sauna was also a fun experience. We would stay here again.

Memorable family time

Migizi Landings was a great setting for our family get together in June 2025 - us two parents, our three grown kids and their spouses. It's even more beautiful and comfortable than the pictures online show. A lovely setting by the lake, lots of spaces to hang out together or have some privacy. We enjoyed the deck, the great room with its big dining table, the well-equipped kitchen, the charcoal grills, and having a fire on the beach. It was conveniently close to attractions, restaurants, and supplies in Washburn and Bayfield. The Houghton Falls trail nearby was a real highlight, too. We got up early on our final morning and the sunrise over the lake was spectacular. At the end of our stay, it was tough not only to say goodbye to each other, but to such a beautiful place.

Early season stay

Even though it was mid-May we enjoyed sunny, warm weather during our mother/daughter visit to the Apostle Islands and this lovely home. The house is open and roomy and contains all the comforts of home. We appreciated how clean and well-kept it was. We especially enjoyed the wraparound deck and the loft library. The owners gave us great directions and also a helpful list of recommended restaurants and adventures in neighboring towns. We had a great time!

Simply phenomenal

It kinda sounds cliche- but the pictures absolutely do not do this place justice. The location is perfect, the beach and property are unbeatable in an area that has a lot of competition. The house itself is stunning and perfect for our mini-family reunion. All wonderful accommodations and the owners were great to communicate with. We are already planning our return- I can say this may be the best rental I’ve booked.

Incredible weekend retreat

Myself and squad of my friends were lucky enough to stay at this residence ovee Veteran's day weekend. We all served together in Afghanistan with the 173rd airborne brigade 1/503rd light infantry in 2009-2010 and 2011-2012. We like to get together every year and catch up- often playing all day grand strategy board games- such as Twilight Imperium. There were 8 of us and we all stayed comfortable and bedded down well! The kitchen is large with pleanty of space with large communal areas! The surrounding area is also beautiful with a gorgeous private beach! We very much look forward to hopflefully staying here again next year!

Lots of space, showing the use

The cabin can accommodate a lot of people for sleeping and social/gathering time(inside and out). The cabin was clean but it’s showing its use. Lots of wear and tear. Location is good which makes it really easy to get to Ashland and Bayfield. Recommend visiting both! Communication was ok with the host, they were traveling during our stay, so we had communication delays. We did forget a few items and we’re still waiting to get help on getting them back. Which is unfortunate.
