Was a good stay for the price, about 20 minutes from national mall or harbor. It is a little older and outdated, so no smart tvs or anything like that. Comfortable bed and furnishings, with a decent breakfast with a great view for what you pay. Would stay again.

Very nice staff

A nice hotel converted from an apartment complex in the heart of D.C. It was a little hard to find at first because the sign says Clarion and not Arlington. But the wonderful night clerk was so patient and helpful on the phone I arrived safely. I had a lovely, large room with a kitchen. This proved to be a necessity because they do not have a restaurant anymore, although their description says they do. It's a bit old and the elevators are ready for replacement but that seems to be the norm everywhere. The complimentary breakfast was disappointing and I only took it once... more to see the view than enjoy the food. It's on the 8th floor and overlooks the city. If you go, pack groceries and cook, unless you like to eat out for every meal.

The hotel was ok, good spacious rooms a decent breakfast. We did not get a restful sleep in the 2 nights we stayed there. There is a full size fridge in the room which is very loud, it comes on with a loud sound that instantly wakes you then runs very loud. The weather was cold so we wanted the heating on, but again it was so loud you couldn’t hear yourself think, so it had to stay off most of the time. And finally, the duvet/blanket generated so much static that we were constantly getting shocks off everything having been near the bed or on it. I think it is because of the cheap polyester filling. At night when you roll over you hear crackling of static and can see little sparks in the duvet. A very strange experience that I have never had before in all of my travels. We are in our next hotel now and have had a great first nights sleep.

Bed bugs in our room

We stayed in a suite with kids. The walls are very thin and the first night it was so loud in the bedroom that I moved to the living room where it was more quiet. It the morning I had some redish marks on my face which got very inflamed and itchy on a second day. Five on my cheek and 2 on the forehead! They look very consistent with bed bugs bite! I don't know if we brought this home which is even more upsetting. Rooms are very specious and location is great, but they make it uncomfortable by little things like making the water flow in sinks like in commercial bathrooms, that splashes everywhere and you can't wash properly, having their curtain rod bended so you can't stretch the curtain, missing utensils and plates and only one night stand!
