We liked hotel but indoor garage with EV charging station was not available from 12:00am to 6:00am. We drove from Toronto and arrived at 2:00am. I inquired with hotel regarding EV charging station before we arrived and I notified them for late arrival, but I was not informed that the garage was closed after 12:00am. We had to park at street parking and our car didn’t get charged. It impact our entire plan.

The hotel ventilation system needs some work. To be a brand new hotel, the rooms felt very muggy & the sheets even felt damp. The pool is literally not an actual pool, it's very small, so that was a little disappointing. For the food, it would've been nice to have some complimentary options since the main restaurant was closed for renovations, which is what really drew us to staying at Arlo. Additionally, when we first got to the hotel, we only had 1 washcloth in our room & it was impossible to get in touch with someone through the phone system. It was a busy weekend there & I can tell the staff was doing their best, so no issues there. But, the main thing we had an issue with was the lack of ventilation.

I will always stay at Arlo when I go to DC!

Absolutely loved my stay! The hotel was gorgeous. I loved that there was a quick spot to grab coffee and pastry but also a restaurant offering fine dining! The bars were sexy! The rooms were spotless, bed super comfy, everything was just amazing.

The staff are friendly and do what they can. The $35 resort fee is charged regardless of restaurant being closed due to water pipe breakage or lack of waters replaced daily in your room. The hotel is new and clean. The extra charge for city view is a waste of money to see a large building outside your window. The bartender at the pool bar was awesome and super efficient. Overall I appreciated the hospitality.

I’m left very dissatisfied with our stay at Arlo DC. I booked a 2 Queen-bed room with a city view and asked for a crib for my daughter. I checked in online the night before and when I get to the front desk the following afternoon, the gentleman assured me the crib was already in the room; it wasn’t. Also, no one offered to help me, my wife, mother-in-law, and baby to help take our bags up to our room. Even better, as soon as we open the room door, we see a dirty rag on the floor next to the bathroom. During our stay, a major flood happened in the restaurant/bar. It looked like it was raining indoors. So Saturday afternoon and night and Sunday, there was no access to the restaurant or bar. On top of that, the water went out in the rooms for an hour, leaving people unable to shower or wash their hands. I asked for late checkout the morning of, as required, and was told we had until 12noon to stay in the room. At 11:05AM, I notice the WiFi is cut off. I call front desk and the agent tells me to use some access code (which didn’t work), so I decide to just pack up and go. Why are you penalizing guests for late checkout?? That’s like inviting a relative to your home, telling them to please stay longer, but you turn the lights out. When I’m finally ready to go, I go to check out with “Geovona” who is a retired stripper, and has zero customer service experience. If you want ghetto, yet somehow pretentious, 20 & 30 somethings, ruining your hotel stay, please waste your money at Arlo.

Awesome Arlo

The Arlo provided a great stay. The staff friendly and I was happy with the amenities. The rooftop pool was much needed touch during this humid weekend. Location wise- it’s close to Union Station, Chinatown and a number of museums. I would stay here again!

We reserved a room for the large separate tub which was provided. However, nobody had checked the room prior to our arrival and the air was broken. With it being July in DC this is a nonstarter. The combination of the new ai integration for guest service and disorganization led to us missing our dinner reservation. The offer of drinks and breakfast to stone was odd. The offer to extend our stay was impossible with prior obligations. The upgrade to a tubless junior suite was meaningless as it was basically our apartment in a different city. Simply put, I would have booked somewhere else if I had known the room we booked was not functional. This normally would have been a situation where we took it withoit complaining, but it was my wife's 35th birthday and we do not get a lot of time together due to our work. If you book I would ask for a room inspection before you make the trip or purchase the room.
