If you’re seeking a serene getaway to truly take a break from everyday life, book a stay at this 2-bedroom, 1-bath vacation rental cabin situated in The Shooting Star Resort. You’ll be treated to year-round activities that’ll keep you entertained for the duration of your visit. Go hiking, fishing, or kayaking in the summer, then swap the hiking boots for ski boots and shred the slopes at Caberfae Peaks Ski Resort in the winter. Check out the other on-site rental if you need extra space.

The host had great contact with us and answered all my questions. The place was very clean and was stocked with enough pans dish soap dish sponge It was good. Needed another blanket for the beds It was chilly and they weren't that comfy. Coffee pot didn't work, could have been me. Used the oven, it had uneven temp for cooking and burnt 1/2 the food. Lol It was an experience. But was very glad we had a place to stay that was clean and warm.

We were pleasantly surprised to find a well stocked kitchen with a refrigerator and gas stove. The only thing we missed was a tea kettle to heat up water for tea, and there was no saucepan. We made due with the stock pot supplied. It was clean and comfortable. We appreciated being able to bring our dog. The grounds were pet friendly and relaxing.

Had an outstanding time. The cabin was excellent. The heating/cooling unit worked great for keeping the whole place comfortable. Everything was clean, and well maintained. Lots of open area to park, and a beautiful natural pavilion at the entrance. Suggest you bring lawn chairs, a blackstone griddle, and corn hole and enjoy the scene. 20 minutes or less from the boat launch in Manistee. We’ll be back. Everything was as expected or better. No complaints!

Combination to lock

The step for the porch needs another step. Small ants at door and kitchen.combination of the door was a joke, under the bench was a combination with 4 digits, they texted me a 6 digit code, didn’t work; called vbo talk to them they called the hostess, found out that the door had a combination which didn’t show the keypad and had another combination that worked. Called the hostess twice and he didn’t answer for the tv and internet and he never did he called me back and I asked for him to call ASAP. Nothing and need to check into yet but why was the price go up. Forgot to tell you we found a dead mouse and the grass was up to our knees and comb web. Not happy!

Nice Stay

Manistee Fishing Trip

We rented the cabin to be close to Tippy Dam for a guided fishing trip the next day. The cabin was as advertised, quaint and clean. Would definitly book it again
