Welcome to your Riverfront King Room at Dead River Lodge! Your private room has a King bed, private half bath and direct deck access. Enjoy access to lodge common areas including shared baths, hot showers and amenities including kitchen, great room with 85" TV, BBQ grills and big riverfront backyard with picnic tables and fire pits.



The Space:

This 11 bedroom riverfront lodge, located a mile upriver from The Forks, is your rear-round basecamp for outdoor adventure and cozy connection.



Every floor includes shared individual bathrooms with hot showers.



Shared Kitchen: Fully equipped communal kitchen with extra large commercial refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and kitchen basics.



Lounge and Deck: Spacious lounge with 85" TV and cozy seating. South-facing deck offers all day sun and peaceful river views. Almost all rooms have direct deck access.



Outdoor Gathering and BBQ: Fire pits, picnic tables, charcoal grills, and open space to spread out. Perfect for cookouts, storytelling or stargazing under the big Maine sky.



Dogs welcome! Trails, open space and a relaxed setting make it the perfect stay for you and your pup. (Please note there are no fenced areas.) Friendly, housetrained dogs are allowed, just not on the furniture please! A pet fee of $15 per dog per night applies. If you will be leaving the property without your dog during your stay, please crate them in your room and let host know how to reach you in case of emergency. If your dog will bark in your absence please keep them with you. We want this to be a place where you, your dog and other guests all feel at home.

Hosting a retreat, reunion, wedding or large group getaway? Rent the entire lodge for exclusive use any time of year. Sleeps up to 30 across flexible room configurations. Access to all shared spaces and outdoor amenities. Ideal for building connection, celebrating, or simply spreading out.



The Neighborhood:

Located on the Dead River, just upriver from where the Dead and Kennebec meet. Less than a mile from town with easy access to Berry's Store and the ballfield, rafting companies and other outfitters. A short drive from Moxie Falls and other much-loved area hikes. Whitewater rafting, tubing, fishing, hunting, hiking, biking or snowmobiling from your front door, stargazing with friends, you name it, it's all here. Enjoy!



Getting Around:

Access ITS 86 and the Forks Area Scenic Trail (FAST) from the backyard!
