I've never served time but our room reminded me of what I imagine being in jail must be like. Absolutely no frills; not one towel rack or hook to be found. No closet, hanger or drawer for your clothes. Lots of dead space in the room. The beds sat on very noisy, heavy duty springs that groaned with every movement. There were two enormous lights outside of our room that kept it lit up throughout the night that the curtains couldn't keep out. Despite the literally freezing overnight temperatures, our beds had sheets, a blanket and a shiny, polyester coverlet--no comforter or anything for warmth until I got some comforters from the office. Speaking of linens, all of the bedding had some manner of rips and holes in them. The housekeeping of our room was not careful-a hair in the fridge and someone else's used soap/wrapper in the shower. The one shining light was the pleasant and helpful front desk clerk. The room was about $140, which compared to the awesome suite I'm staying in tonight, is highway robbery and a reason to keep driving past Winnemucca if we ever come this route again.
