Venture further afield to follow footpaths and trails of varying lengths in your wider surroundings. Try the 1.5-mile loop hike that captures scenic views of the National Trust’s Framlingham Castle and tranquil Framlingham Mere Nature Reserve. Spend time in Woodbridge, exploring the bustling shopping streets and dining out in restaurants serving Suffolk produce. While you are here, visit the working tidal flour mill. Plan a day out to Snape Maltings, 13 miles away, to ponder in its galleries and enjoy a concert.

Enter your single-storey retreat, and stroll into the spacious, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. With an abundance of revealed woodwork, together with carefully chosen, elegant pieces of furniture, this will be the perfect place to spend quality relaxation time together throughout your break. Prepare delicious treats for each other in the well-equipped kitchen area, then sit down to romantic, candle-lit dinners on the plush chairs at the dining table. Cuddle up on the sofa in front of a gripping film on the Smart TV. When eyelids begin to droop, head through to your king-size bedroom, which has a similar high-quality finish. Savour a superb night’s sleep in here before waking up to a refreshing shower or long soak in the freestanding bath.

Wander out onto your sun-soaked deck on fine days. Enjoy the privacy of the courtyard, (great also if you have a reactive dog due to its very secluded, sunken and fully enclosed design), where you can bubble in the hot tub at your leisure. Stroll off to explore the picturesque, shared grounds, which include an area of some 60 acres of new woodland, which will be maintained using natural land management methods. Take part in additional fascinating activities (for an extra charge), including private stargazing sessions and nature photography. Some of these must be booked in advance. There is private parking here for one car.
